I had a friend at uni who fancied me, but I’d turned him down. He came to visit my church in the holidays, and my brother, upon meeting him, said “Aww, is this your boyfriend?” After an incredibly uncomfortable silence, we both laughed it off. Needless to say, I gave my brother a talking to, and he hasn’t done it again!
