movie: The Bluff (2026). solidly mediocre movie absolutely riddled with (or built out of...) cliches, but a serviceable enough distraction, made especially enjoyable by making fun of it with my sibling late into the night. second last movie -- which left the much stronger impression by far -- was Martyrs (2008), I'm still quite haunted by that experience 🥲

book: I was recently flipping through a copy of "Cringe: Teenage Diaries, Journals, Notes, Letters, Poems, and Abandoned Rock Operas" by Sarah Brown, left behind by the house's previous occupants. the premise appealed to my voyeuristic streak for a brief moment, and that's about all I have to say about it

tv episode: hmm, I haven't been watching much tv lately...last thing I remember "watching" I just threw on an episode of Frasier for background noise

1. What made you ship it?

I read the books and every single thing Tyrion says about Bronn is insane. But the highlight is as always the moment at the vale where Bronn comes out of the crowd and says I’ll stand for the dwarf… it’s so romantic… if one of them was a woman EVERYONE would see it as such

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

They LIKE EACH OTHER!!! It’s so cute!! There’s something really simple about their friendship in the midst of all these other relationships Tyrion has that are so politically fraught that even breathing might be considered a slight. They joke with each other and have fun! He tells him about Tysha! They go on a camping trip!!

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I think shipping it at all might count as an unpopular opinion BUT my #deluded belief is that they will meet again and nothing will have changed. Ok this is cope it won’t happen but I can dream

ALL OF THEM i havent been in so long its so expensive and the one here is so small and lame 😭 jellyfish probably though i love those squishy boys<3 i lurve starfish and seahorses too and the sting ray i love how the sting ray looks like it has a cute face

taro bubble tea with pearls less sugar less ice ALWAYS. taro bubble tea BEST FLAVOUR!!! yes its a potato idgaf. she's got charisma uniqueness nerve and talent and shes PURPLE!!! its a nostlagia thing its just always been the flavour i get. coconut with sago is also good tho

the veggie you dislike the most?

this ones hard i like all veggies in at least one form... like tempura eggplant or zucchini fritters or avocado guac. but the answer has to be mushroom im sorry i cant get past the texture 😭

do you wear jewelry?

yes yes yes i LOVE jewelry. i own lots of novelty earrings (knives, cherries, sun/star, cats, flowers, dragons) and fun necklaces and bracelets and yes. flower crowns. TUMBLRINA!!!!

Without looking away, Pei Ming said, voice jovial, “Qingxuan, care to come with me for a chat?”

Once they were around the corner, he leaned in close to Shi Qingxuan, forcing eye contact. “Is that who I think that is?”

Shi Qingxuan licked their bottom lip. “That, ah, depends who you think that is?”

“I don’t need to tell you why this is not appropriate. You’re mortal now—”

“I know that, General Pei. It’s alright. I’m not in any danger. He-gongzi and I meet sometimes to catch up, like you and I do. That’s all.” Shi Qingxuan didn’t enjoy lying and wasn’t good at it, but there was no better thing to say; Shi Qingxuan no longer understood, if they ever did, what they and He Xuan were to one another.

Pei Ming shook his head. There was a strange, almost pitying look in his eye. “Qingxuan—don’t you still care for your brother at all?”

They pressed their eyes shut tight. “Please. Let’s not talk about Ge. I like talking to you, I actually do, but it only works if we don’t talk about Ge. You understand that, don’t you?”

Reluctantly, Pei Ming nodded.

so, Laistrygon taught Marquis how to shapeshift, and he developed some really advanced techniques like turning into specific people if he so chooses.

his sort of "final test" was to impersonate a nobleman, and he dealt with the nobleman's descendants and appointed himself the successor.

so yeah. that's how became Marquis. through trickery.
