Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, sourced 1,255 ventilators from Chinese manufacturers and donated them to healthcare facilities in the Los Angeles area to help medical professionals cope with the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Musk wrote in a tweet on March 23rd: China had an oversupply, so we bought 1255 FDA-approved ResMed, Philips...
This is a Chinese poem I found on this adress: https://eastasiastudent.net/china/classical/du-fu-spring-view/ and I really, really love it. I think that it’s very fitting to this situation - corona virus /covid-19 situation we are all in during lockdowns etc.

This is a map of all cities in Italy that are currently under mass quarentine. No one will be entering or exiting these cities until further notice, so if you were planning on heading here at ANY time for ANY reason please cancel your hotel and flight plans and get a refund.
Please reblog this so everyone who may be affected by this. I had to cancel my flight to Mona recently because of the outbreak and the airlines are adding cancellation deadlines now.
well how-dee-do?
I've escaped to the country in light of all this COVID-19 business - don’t get me wrong, it’s dead serious... or at least deadly. the UK is looking at a peak in cases/deaths within the next three weeks, and we don’t think we’ll be back to ‘normal life’ for around 6 months - we’ll continually review, but the nature of the flatten-the-peak approach means that our outbreak will last longer, but hopefully involve less numbers overall.
we’ll manage.
now that I’m home, I've got the woods on my doorstop, which has been so good for my head, which has been a little foggy really. I’ve been a tiny bit overwhelmed at times, but I’ve generally been alright. I’m worn a little thin at the moment, trying to balance studying, committee applications, preparations for pre-reg applications, and working mornings at the local pharmacy.
being in there just shows how many older people are still coming out, and it’s worrying. hopefully they’ll start to stay home, or half the population of the village could be wiped out, and with it being such a rural community, it’d leave the other half in mourning.
it’s scary how much its affecting some people, mentally. our neighbours are an older couple who’ve self isolated under government guidance. they don’t have any family in the local area so we’ve given them our numbers and asked them just to text if they need anything, and we’ll fetch it for them. I was sent out for milk today, but ended up dropping a little care package at their doorstop and having a quick chat. I hope they’re going to be alright.
right now, I am too little butter over too much bread.
but we will manage.

Some things to remember to tell yourself today:
⭐ I am kind ❤️ I control my emotions; they don’t control me ⭐ I am above negative thoughts and feelings ❤️ I deserve good things ⭐ I am doing my best ❤️ I will be kind to myself
It's easy to ignore something in the hope that it will just go away. It might be the more difficult option, but sometimes we need to take care of ourselves
Take a timeout, you deserve it. It doesn’t have to be too drastic. In fact, self-care can be something tiny and you may not even know you’re doing it. Here's 25 different ideas:
