I hope you’re following the news. Really following the news. Despite the well-meaning advice to unplug and not bombard yourself with media 24/7, in this current political landscape the only way to keep up with everything is by constantly following the news. Because some crazy, bombastic-ass major geopolitical or legal scandal happens every single day. Every single day a new thing that would have ended any other politicians career. Every single day unprecedented corruption and utter institutional failure.

Sometimes multiple times in a single day!

In the span of 2 hours the major news story went from Ukraine dropping their investigation into Paul Manafort--who helped basically loot millions from Ukraine over a period of several years at Russia’s behest--specifically to stay on Trump’s good side...

A member of their Parliament literally said, 

“In every possible way, we will avoid irritating the top American officials...We shouldn’t spoil relations with the administration.”

...To this bananas interview where Rudy Guiliani confirms that Trump repaid Cohen millions for Stormy Daniels, that he fired Comey because he wouldn’t drop the investigation (no duh), and whatever the hell nonsense that was about Ivanka Trump.

And mere hours before that the story was Trump and the GOP publicly going to war with Rosenstein and the rest of the Justice Department, also another one of Trump’s lawyers quit in frustration, also the migrant caravan at the border, also untold thousands died in Puerto Rico over that hurricane and the gov’t is scuttling the reports and they still have no power, also lobbyists are setting up million-dollar trips for Scot Pruit, also also also!

He screamed for Lance to get up, distracted by the thought of losing his loved one. The distraction was just enough for the Galra warriors to swarm the black paladin, taking him down as well by force. . . . When Shiro woke, his muscles were stiff. He no longer had his paladin armour, and shivered slightly on he cold cell ground. He sat up, glancing down at the cuffs around his wrists. At least he was mobile still. His eyes searched the dark room, resting on a shape on the floor just a little ways of. It didn't have sharp edges, but rather round ones. Organic. He saw movement and realized it was breathing. "Lance!" He said, hurriedly rushing to the other on the ground. He checked over his body desperately, hoping he wasn't too injured.

Más allá de publicar imágenes agradables a la vista o frases con las que puedas sentir conexión, me gustaría aprovechar este espacio para contarles a todas esas personas que, por diversos motivos pueden o no estar enteradas de la situación en mi país, México; el día 1 de enero se dió un aumento en el precio de los hidrocarburos... Famoso "gasolinazo" sin ir acompañado de un aumento al salario lo que nos deja una inflación... Las personas que quieren un cambio y ser escuchadas salen a las calles a protestar pacíficamente, mientras que el gobierno encomienda a grupos de choque a mezclarse entre los manifestantes para crear caos y así militarizar al país con el pretexto de sembrar la "paz" nada nuevo, nada que no se haya escuchado en estos jodidos sistemas que tenemos de gobierno. ¿Qué cambia ahora? En mi comunidad... Las personas no salen a manifestar sus intereses, ni a defender sus derechos, salen y crean vandalismo, asaltan a cual vean caminando, suben al transporte a quitar pertenencias, saquean tiendas y salen con aparatos eléctricos, se oyen balazos, nos forzamos a encerrarnos en nuestras casas... Sé que no es una situación única en el mundo... Sólo quería aclarar: Mexicanos, no le están dando en la madre al gobierno, ¿a ellos en que les afectaría que quiten un celular, una vida? Le dan en la madre a la población, me dueles México
