So i just rewatched Cars 2, you know, like ya do, and i realized smth.

I watched this movie a feckton when i was small and recently started rewatching it over and over because i have the Katchows, but something i only realized now, is how LESS we actually know about Leland and Rod. And considering they both died + were both collegues of Finn, i actually rly wanna know how Finn feels about their deaths.

Bc mind you, Finn saw Lelands remains as a cube of metal and he instantly knew it was Leland. It visibly upset him too.

But they were collegues, so i assume they were friends too. Finn does not mention Leland (even though he saw Lelands corpse squashed together as a metal cube wich must have been horrifying) or Rod (Who literally got tortured and then murdered) even though they were his friends.

I think its actually so sad that Finn doesnt have any time to grieve the loss of two of his friends. Maybe he doesnt really allow himself to do so because of the mission and how much more friends he can lose to it. It sucks we never got to know how he ended up taking the deaths of his friends, poor dude

"Francesco is a bad person!" Uhm no he is not

The reason why Francesco is my favourite cars 'villain' of McQueen is because he DOES have morality.

Jackson Storm isnt explored, Chick is just a cocky, selfish fellow racer that cheats his way into victory, but Francesco is actually the only rival in Cars to become friends with Lightning and end up appreciating and respecting him.

Francesco is famous, cocky, young, is a showoff and has talent, but he is not as emotionally lacking as a lot of people say.

Take the crash scene in Cars 2. Not only does Francesco immediatly move out of the way to let the ambulances pass, but when the crash is seen on the flatscreen, Francesco looks genuinly worried and shocked. He knows these racers and is probably friends with a few of them just like Lightning.

When the ambulances pass Francesco is heard in the background asking "what is going on?"

Like he looks a mix of shocked and weirded out, but he CLEARLY DOES CARE about his fellow racers and seeing them injured clearly worries him like it does Lightning.

Not to mention, Francesco does know how to talk to people and treat others with respect. The way he spoke to Sally in the last scene of the movie was a hint of "hey girl 😘" in there, but it was WAY more respectful and friendlier then how Lightning talked to her at their first encounter. Lightning straight up HARASSED her in the courtroom when THEY first met. Francesco keeps it short, greets her and even tells her "Lightning is the luckiest car in the world" like WDYM HE HAS NO RESPECT?? 💀

I find it such a pity we haven't seen Francesco ever since Cars 2 because i would honestly love to see more of him. He is genuinly a good character, a nice friend to Lightning and Sally, and a good ally to Team McQueen and the Radiator Springs fam as it is. Like they could have done so much more with Francesco because he is one of the best characters in the movies.

GIVE ME MORE FRANCESCO PIXAR IDC WHAT YOU DO GIVE ME SOME FRANCESCOOOOOOOO!!!
