So i just rewatched Cars 2, you know, like ya do, and i realized smth.
I watched this movie a feckton when i was small and recently started rewatching it over and over because i have the Katchows, but something i only realized now, is how LESS we actually know about Leland and Rod. And considering they both died + were both collegues of Finn, i actually rly wanna know how Finn feels about their deaths.
Bc mind you, Finn saw Lelands remains as a cube of metal and he instantly knew it was Leland. It visibly upset him too.
But they were collegues, so i assume they were friends too. Finn does not mention Leland (even though he saw Lelands corpse squashed together as a metal cube wich must have been horrifying) or Rod (Who literally got tortured and then murdered) even though they were his friends.
I think its actually so sad that Finn doesnt have any time to grieve the loss of two of his friends. Maybe he doesnt really allow himself to do so because of the mission and how much more friends he can lose to it. It sucks we never got to know how he ended up taking the deaths of his friends, poor dude
Not mine but look at them
I USED TO HAVE THE LADYBUG
blindsided
BLINDSIDED for a scene from my muse's past in which they were betrayed or shocked by what someone did
The waning moon hung in the sky, barely a sliver. Instead light from Shade's floating glow orbs gave the odd group illumination. Finnula stops at the borders of her family's historical land. And then she steps forward, the rest following them onto the lands. Despite it being high summer the apple grove stood barren and leafless. Finn frowned deeply, brows furrowing and hastened her movements. An hour's travel brought Finn to their home village.
They stopped dead in their tracks. Everything was ruins, with only the foundations and tumbled limestone left of her family home. Standing in the ruins was a red haired man of 18 winters, his eyes violet and the mark of a third eye on his forehead. Finnula picked up her pace and pratically slammed into the man, pulling him close. “FINLOCH! You're... alive?” They pause and eye him, his aura vibrant. Everything she had, but the gleam of fang and the uncomfrotable movement of the fera behind her told them that he wasn't alive. Not to mention the couple of thousand years that had passed. “You're salubri like me.” A slight grin spread over her face.
Red was welling up in his eyes, but he dashed it away. “I saw you die Finn. I saw you on that field. And I lost my control. When I came to a man was standing beside me. He offered me the night. And I accepted. He had Rayzeal embrace you, and... I went with him.” Finnula didn't pick up the slight twitch of his face, too enraptured in finding her twin again to care.
“What happened to our home, Fin?” They asked, looking around.
He shrugged. “Invaders, raiders from Saxony. Come, I have much to show you. I heard you were a sorcerer.” He smiled. “We've always been so alike. Come, see my work.” He pulled at her hand, and led them to an underground magical laboratory.
Finnula began to walk along, and eye the things. The sort of sigils, the texts. They stopped, it dawning on them. The land, now a blasted heath. The loss of their people. The unease of her companions.
“Finloch... you're...”
He smirked. “An Infernalist? We've always been opposites in many ways dear sister.”
“You BASTARD.” Finnula launched herself at him, sword drawn.
The woman who trained me.
She did not deserve the end that came her.
My grandsire
he did not desreve the end that came him.

Ooc: So Finn's.. um. She's had a lot of things she blames herself for. However, this is the worst. (in her mind. It's a classic I had on had). It's written like a vision for reasons. -------------
A group of people stand in an old mansion, with you among them. There is a fey, two shifters, two vampires, and two mages. They seem to have chased a figure through a portal. The man turns around, dark brown features and messy curling brown hair. He was extremely handsome, even with his messy hair. His violet eyes lock with yours and his third eye opens, glowing violet. You feel your own open.
You should not be here.
A moment later the man you followed through the portal lunges at the three eyed man, you now know is Salout. You've seen him before, you've met him. He's your grandsire. You have to help your grandsire. You… were not meant to see this
You feel his soul vanish, you feel your beast stirring. Hand to sword you move to charge forward. Suddenly a dragon's claws graw you. Adara. Mamadragon…. On the other side a Gargoyle. Lorien. Your love… You feel yourself being dragged away, screaming, sobbing, crying for your grandsire. Your family. Your grandsire. He's gone. Gone gone… you couldn't help gone….

She looked up at him, soft brown eyes unsure. In these past months her lover had changed so much, and she'd only ever gotten to see him at night now. A deathly palor was cast over his dusky bronze skin. He was still gentle, though there was a restless, animalisitc edge to that even. His gaze darting about, as if something were going to attack. Then he breathes in, forcing the air into his lungs and back out. A needless, but calming breath. He ran a thumb across her cheek, his violet eyes sad.
“You have to go.” Red welled up in the corners of his eyes. “Both of you.” He pauses and puts a gentle hand on the blanket wrapped bundle. “Malkav and I, we can. We can keep this from him at least.” He runs lifts the blanket, looking at the infant and bites hard into his lip. “I have seen, some of the future. This child cannot stay here. My dreams. Tell you to run to an Island of Green, of Rolling fog, of Red Lupines.” He pulls the woman and their child close, savouring last moments as a family. Leaning down to kiss her deeply, red flowing freely from his eyes now and landing across her face. He pulls back and looks behind him. “I will be missed my dear. I have to go.” He protests but still holds her hand. Loath to let go.
“Go.” His voice catches, even though he does not need to breathe. “Run, run until you are across water, across land, across everything. Where no vampires can ever find you. Run Please.”Now the tears flow freely. “Where He can never find you or our child. I will always love you. Through all of time.” He pulls her close one last time then looks at her. “I will always remember. Run.” He stands there as she pulls away and turns to slip into the caravan leaving with rising sun.
Finn sits in her room silently sobbing.
