Day 1 - Acid - Cosmo

Goretober Day 1 - Acid, using my OC Cosmo Sergei

So I have talked with Zombiedeers about this but I like to think that the Goretober picture he drew, was a nightmare Keratin had.

More is under the cut because of mention of gore, heavy gore, acid, skin melting and death.

I do not know the details yet but basically Keratin witnesses Cosmo (@zombiedeers OC) falling into a vat/container full of acid in the nuclear power plant, she shouts for help, but no one is coming, so she tries alone to get Cosmo out of the corrosive liquid.

It hurts her so much and she is in a lot of panic when she notices how the acid melts away the hazard suit and the dog she cares so much for, first his fur...then his skin, followed by exposed flesh and bones.

She sees how much Cosmo is in pain, who shouts her name and to help him, tears coming from the desperate nuclear power plants workers eyes, that are mixed with the blood and mucus that is running out of his nose and mouth as he looks at her with anguish and panic in his eyes.

Finally, Kerain is close enough to reach Cosmo's hand, that has already been turned mostly into its skeletal form, with a few remains of flesh and muscles remaining, and she pulls on his hand, as hard as she can, and, it looks like as if she can do it, that she is able to safe Cosmo.

Until there is the sound of something snapping and breaking apart.

When Keratin looks at her hand, she sees how it's still holding onto Cosmo's, that had been ripped and broken away from his body.

As if in slow motion, she sees how Cosmo Sergei falls back into the vat/container, tears running from his face, still calling out for the cat, before being completely submerged slowly by the acid because of the fall.

There is a hissing sound, a few bubbles from the chemical reactions, and Cosmo is gone.

Keratin is too much in shock to hear the creaking of the metal platform she is standing, and before she knows it, the metal platform she is standing on, starts to give in, with Keratin Grand screaming as she falls headfirst into the same vat of acid.

Before she hits the green substance that had already claimed the life of the person she loved, she wakes up.

Keratin is, absolutely distressed and confused at first were she is, before realizing she is at the home of Cosmo and his co-worker, and she immediately searches for him, when she finds Cosmo sleeping on the couch, and her remembering that she visited him and, apparently fell asleep.

With the dream still haunting her, she slowly approaches Cosmo and touches his fur, confirming to her that what she just saw, was a dream and did not happen, and that Cosmo is here...and safe.

Due to the memories still being fresh and burned into her memory, Keratin starts to cry, as she is hugging Cosmo, because, the nightmare felt so real for her, and it made her afraid, that she really had lost Cosmo.

Hearing her sobbing, Cosmo would wake up and seeing the cat he loves in distress, would comfort Keratin who continues hugging him, he would ask her if she is alright, and, when she reveals to him she had a nightmare, would ask if she wants to tell him about it.

And Keratin does, telling him the story she had just witnessed in her dream, with Cosmo comforting her and telling Keratin he is here for her.

21. Which OC is a lightweight? Which OC carries them home?

Awww Anon, you already know the answer to that one, don't you? :-.)

Nikolai Akdow is one of the lightest lightweights that exists, or as Rey (@pan-fried-autism) has worded it, there are even feathers that are heavier compared to the light weight that Nikolai is.

Seriously, drinking half of a bottle, of the lightest-light beer that exists in the world, is enough to knock him out.

Grem did carry him back then to their room on the cruise ship, but I believe that at least once his sister Kathrina , has carried Nikolai home as well.

22. Which OC likes to read to their partner? Which OC prefers being read to?

Also Nikolai, he loves reading to Grem if he found an interesting article.

Victor liked reading something to his wife, but he also loves it when Margaret reads something to him, always commenting that she has a lovely and wonderful voice.

Keratin loves reading to Cosmo (@zombiedeers OC), and likes to do so, of course, only if he wants to, but she too, likes it to hear Cosmo reading something to her, who she would say has a pleasant voice.

Page also, really likes if he can read something to his husbands.

23.Which OC dog ears pages? Which OC thinks that’s an ABOMINATION?

Age thinks doing this to books is horrible, saying that there are other ways to ensure knowing what page is important or which one was the last you read.

Meanwhile you have Job Fahim who does this all the time because he says it's more efficient to put an dog ear into the book than to take time in searching for a bookmark.

I have to say the image, of Keratin desperately holding onto Cosmo's arm that reaches out to her, or, what remained of it and her, trying to help him out of the acid, just for the arm to break off / be ripped off because of the acid together with physics working against Cosmo's and Keratins favor was something that had burned itself into my mind, when I looked at your Goretober drawing and continued to think about it.

Keratin in her nightmare was so, convinced, that she could help Cosmo out of the acid, to safe him from this agonizing situation he was in, that it came crashing down on her, in the nightmare, when suddenly she heard a snap, and all that remained in her hand, was Cosmo's arm, that was only bits of flesh and mostly bones, and in her shock, failing to notice that she too, would fall to her doom in the nightmare.

Seeing Cosmo's painful expression, as he plunged into the vat once again, being in so much, agony and the tears in his eyes, despite it being a nightmare, and Cosmo assuring Keratin that he is safe, and here with her when she wakes up in distress, it is an image, that for a while will remain in Keratin's mind.

It really is quite the nightmare to have, I understand why it would stick in Keratin's head for a while! But she has Cosmo right by her side to be her reassurance and reminder that it was only a nightmare and he is alive and safe. :]

How does Aviso leave mayberry? and does he take Keratin with him?

Trough the cities sewer system and the help of Nikolai Akdow, it was not easy to get Aviso trough the entrance of the sewage system, but Nikolai made it work and the two were able to escape Mayberry.

Keratin does not accompany them to the outside, after a certain event, which lead to her meeting Nikolai and asking him to take her brother Aviso with him, she decides to stay to ensure that no one tries to take the hotel, and also because she does not want to leave Cosmo Sergei (@zombiedeers OC) behind.

The two Grand siblings would have a heartfelt partying , for they don't know if they will see each other again, but, Aviso admits, it is what he wishes for, to leave this city behind, and thanks Keratin for making it possible, but also for understanding that he wants to leave.

Having said their goodbyes, Nikolai and Aviso would leave the Grand estate, with both of the siblings being close to tears.

Does Mike leave Mayberry at some point?

When the walls of Mayberry fall, I think Mike would leave, at least for a while.

After the years of having to hear milkman jokes and stereotypes being thrown at him, he just wants to leave this town, telling Cosmo (@zombiedeers) he will be in contact with the nuclear power plant worker, writing him letters or give him a call in a telephone booth, saying that he deeply values their friendship and that of Cosmo's colleagues, who he is very thankful for them, having been kind to him.

I don't think, Mike ever officially quit his milkman job, he just, packed his things and left, outside of Mayberry he would be working as a truck driver, where he would get the opportunity to see the outside world and experience it.

Even if it takes some time to adjust these sudden changes, at least here, he is not exposed to any mean jokes.

I think Mike would return to Mayberry at one point, however if permanently or only to visit his old home, I can't really say myself right now. Maybe later I know the answer.
