Taking a break from draft posting .. soon I shall become Pokemon mystery dungeon
Parliament is my main setting for my OC universe/the modern world of my dnd campaigns!! It’s where I play the most if I’m not playing with dice or books.
Parliament is intentionally modeled after America, the map in my mind is North America flipped onto its side and warped around. With the main setting outside of dnd stuff, it’s very urban fantasy. Modern and weird and wacky!! Because I want it to be.
The world has just experienced a huge magick drought.. relatively recently.. It still feels like people are trying to recover.
It’s fun there’s a lot of dumb stuff in here.
Let’s talk some book lore.
Aka, who our perspective character is half the time!
Winslow De Witte, otherwise known as The Star is the 3rd Captain of the Luminaries. The Luminaries being the militant force of Ivora, one half of the capitol of Chrocosm.
Winslow is essentially a “chosen one” type character. Being the hero of myth who will save the world when The Fool arrives. So Winslow is crazy indoctrinated in this religion, and she is practically a decorative human until The Fool legit arrives.
Shenanigans.
back from deprivation hell expect a bit of clean up and edits
Leans into mic
the overdepth and Underheight will need their lore tweaked immensely already, but I’m trying to fit them in as nicely as I can with my current idea of things.
..Expect pruning.
Let’s talk some book lore .. book idea one anyway
In this little world I’ve been somewhat developing, it’s divided into two halves due to a war between goddesses that happened in the past. The half of purity, and the half of nothing.
The half of purity is completely exposed to the light, and is nearly pristine and perfect as compared to its sister half.
The half of purity is home to four regions based off of the spectrum of light (and colors). The biggest region is white, named Ivora.
The other three regions go in rainbow order, red (Ardin,) orange (Merig,) and yellow (Forsyth.)
I gotta work out logistics of pantheons over in my little world
Because there are at least three separate pantheons rn and various gods all over the place from all different areas
And I.. lowkey want to include Greek gods.
It’s helpful because some places still lack proper pantheons or beliefs or worships, but I gotta work out WHY exactly there’s so many.
The main running idea is this thing called the Elden Pantheon, which is where all the other pantheons are believed to have stemmed from. It’s considered the oldest, and has some gods that are often transferred over to different continents (Like the Moonweaver.)
However this is just like. The public’s idea of the pantheon. What about how it works god wise ?? Since yk in dnd the gods are real and all.
Idk, I’ll figure it out
I want to yap abt a dnd plant im concepting idc abt the creepypasta fic anymore (/j)
Olosabi !!! Otherwise called the “Minor Weeping Willow,” and a native plant to Dacium. Particularly found growing near sources of water, the Olosabi is a flower, not a tree, with a thick stalk. Albeit the flower itself seems to be weighed down with drooping petals and drooping fruit, much like the weeping willow trees seen around Dacium.
The Olosabi does in fact, bear fruit. Small, ovular and vibrant orange berries. Usually growing in bunches of three from the drooping stems. Further weighing them down, and being a common delicacy for elves during the spring season. As when ripe they are very sweet.
..However, for not as magically tuned races, Olosabi is often used as a hallucinogenic. Often being given out to attendees of the spring festival (Beltane.) Everybody on Beltane if they aren’t inherently magical gets high af. Not dangerous though! Often the hallucinations, per reported by humans, are colorful and akin to a kaleidoscope.
