I’m Cosmosis, or Cosmic, and I’m a 20 yr old girl with a stupid creative dump blog.

I’m a big character buff, I enjoy creating dynamics and the like, and I have one big project for my one big world. Because I have a problem.

This is a multifandom/multipurpose creative blog. Typically for writing ideas I may have, or worldbuilding. I have a bad habit of taking on projects, and I need to archive my big boy thoughts somewhere. Many of my posts are currently dedicated to a Creepypasta fic I was working on, however I am branching out a little to more of my other interests.

Like my yumeshipping/oc x canon habits.

I’m entirely serious. Cringe is dead, I killed her with my two hands.

Either way, expect ramble posts regarding the oddest of things with little to no context. Thats the way I like to do things. Under the Read More is the tags I use for reference.

I’ve got a dnd campaign currently festering (and active, just play every other week) and it is a blight on my system /pos

Anyway there’s this thing/mythological concept called Ouroboros, and it’s essentially a creation myth revolving around the splitting of the space things take up and the space things cannot be. Two snakes who were once intertwined, now forever separate.

The Space Things Take Up is irrevocably lonely without his brother and his other half, and in all of his wisdom he creates a daughter. A creator goddess, equal to him in power.

The Space Things Cannot Be festers in his loneliness, but he bleeds into his brothers life instead. Never fully separated, as he dwells quite literally in his brothers shadow. He has no companionship for centuries until his existence is unearthed and documented in stone slabs by five-fingered hands.

Silve is the only place in Chrocosm devoid of any semblance of color. Being essentially the old warzone where Vasyra dealt the fatal blow to her sister, Ivania. The earth is scorched, and the trees no longer grow to their full height.

Silve serves as a place of exile. Anybody who is sent to Silve is expected to not return, and many are believed to die there as Silve is presented as a land devoid of anything living.

This however, is wrong. Trees still grow, plants still grow and bear fruit. Hell, people have lived in Silve for years if they can’t find a place anywhere else.

Book talking book talking

The book takes place in a country called Chrocosm, a land primarily based off of the light spectrum in terms of like.. Theming.

In lore, the land is split into two halves. This happened due to a conflict between the sister goddesses, and the Half of Purity is the half of the living goddess Vasyra. The Half of Purity has four districts/regions.

Ivora, white, represents the capital and home of the Luminaries and the Luminant Faith.

Ardin, red, a district of gladiators.

Merig, orange, more recent but arguably the wealthiest.

Forsyth, yellow, the peacekeepers between the band separating the Halves (Silve) and the rest of the world.

Chrocosm is divided into two halves, a half of supposed purity and a half of supposedly nothing. The Goddess Vasyra split the world in two when her sister was slain, and the half of nothing was plunged into a long darkness. It’s even blocked off from the rest of the world, nobody can get in or out unless they take an “unconventional” way.

The Half of Nothing is home to the second half of the light spectrum.

Ris, green, the closest to Forsyth and the only place the people of the Half of Purity seem to respect.

Ervain, blue, a district of mysteries and spiritualism. Supposedly, their district spreads to the ocean nearby.

Histle, purple, a district of immense wealth and supposed prosperity. Closest to Vanta.

Vanta, black and the capital of the Half of Nothing. Home to the Umbral Guard, and interestingly non religious.

LETS TALK ABOUT ELDRITCH HORROR!!!

Inspired by the Flood from HALO, I have built a bit of an entity in my d&d campaign .. verse called the Song. Or the Song to Nowhere. Or some other nickname I gave her that I can’t remember.

Song is, similarly to their inspiration, a collective hivemind. I’m still a little stuck on what exactly she is, but I’m leaning towards the idea she’s some kind of plant or other parasite. Like the green banded broodsac, or the tongue eating louse.

I’m leaning towards a more eldritch parasite as Song is stagnant on an island, unable to leave. She can’t swim. But, if she can manage to lure sailors who pass by their island, then she can “eat” and “spread.” There’s also a whole deal of her specific island being unable to be found naturally, she has to reach out to you rather than the other way around.

Once you’re on her hook though, you can’t get off.

Jeff is a little overly attached to his weapon of choice. An old kitchen knife, the one he used at the initial killing and the subsequent ones. He likes to call it his “trauma bond knife,” and he doesn’t like using anything else.

Even if he doesn’t really try to indulge yk, if he has to he’ll use TBK.

He has plenty of other weapons in his collection, he just.. likes this one a little more.

Parliament is my main setting for my OC universe/the modern world of my dnd campaigns!! It’s where I play the most if I’m not playing with dice or books.

Parliament is intentionally modeled after America, the map in my mind is North America flipped onto its side and warped around. With the main setting outside of dnd stuff, it’s very urban fantasy. Modern and weird and wacky!! Because I want it to be.

The world has just experienced a huge magick drought.. relatively recently.. It still feels like people are trying to recover.

It’s fun there’s a lot of dumb stuff in here.

Since the House is a living being and so is the Woodsman, the area surrounding the House and the House itself acts like an ecosystem.

There’s a hierarchy in the House. If you can’t provide, you’re at the bottom of the roster and at risk for expulsion. If you’re at the top, you get the grand privilege of working closely with the Woodsman.

..It’s not that much of a privilege.

Regardless, that’s just the inside of the House. Which I can also compare to a hive. With the Woodsman as the Queen, and then everyone else as worker bees. Drones would be equivalent to His higher up proxies, but.. More useful. Since drone bee’s don’t do much.

On the outside of the house, there’s a variety of “guards” who keep out the “pests.” The guards include the Rake, the Seedeater, and even Kate to an extent.

They act as deterrents. Jeff got off easy.

Can the Woodsman be killed?

The Woodsman is arguably an antagonist in the Monster House little mini universe thing. Can we kill Him?

No! Not really! The Woodsman’s akin to a deity, and usually “killing” isn’t something permanent. He’ll inevitably be back. He can be disabled for a period of time, instead. Knocked out of commission.

HABIT had done it once, he brags. Cutting off the Woodsman’s communication to the outside world, “chaining” him down.

The Woodsman didn’t stay gone for long.

This post was supposed to go with. My other posts. About Sally Dynamics. And I forgort.

Sally is Woodsman’s special little girl. He has an uncharacteristic softness for the ghost, to the point where Sally is the only one allowed in His study even when He isn’t present.

She gets to play in His study, hang around His legs and His lanky body.

The Woodsman is utterly charmed by Sally, it appears. And Sally enjoys the attention from one of the few positive figures in her life. He gives her gifts and will send proxies out to fetch her someone if she wants it that badly and He can’t provide it. It’s hard to tell why He does this. Why He only seems to have a true fondness for Sally.

The Woodsman says it’s curiosity, but Sally says that He tells her something different. She tries to keep it secret, but Hoodie managed to pry it out of her once.

Sally said that she reminds the Woodsman of someone.

Since we talked about how the Woodsman feels about His supposed entity compatriots, let’s talk about how the Mariner and the Eidolon feel about the Woodsman.

They don’t like Him. Even the Mariner, the most positive of entities, dislikes the Woodsman.

This is likely from a difference in.. Intent. The Mariner and the Eidolon simply wish to exist, and try to coexist with those who cannot fully understand them. Coexist by staying unknown, taking on proxies who are not missed by society.

Yet the Woodsman seems to keep intentionally picking up public figures. Masky and Hoodie, who were showcased frequently on the Marble Hornets YouTube channel. HABIT, who was also from another popular online series. Various other examples here.

The Woodsman wants attention.

The Mariner and Eidolon don’t like that. It’s a conflict of interest.
