Not all, but most of the printed Expedition 33 thingies painted. Made silione molds from some prints for epoxy, and learned the hard way silicone doesn't like unpainted resin. But hey, only added a few hours trying to literally toothpick uncured silicone from the crooks before painting. xD

What's left of the big stuff is Gustave's hand which is proving to be the hardest, but I'll probably figure out the marble of it eventually. Or just say 'f it' and buy very expensive imitation paint idk.

I'm really happy with everything overall, tho, and I know I'll be way more confident with my crafts going forward. There is a learning curve with every material from various glues to paints to whatnot, but I'm getting the hang of them. Like literally, everything above was painted with acrylic, sharpies, wax, texture paints, patinas, for other things I've tried ink, airbrushing & stained glass paints (those I dislike the most so far lol)

Yeah well... I’m stil surprised that the robe got a pretty good shape since I have never ever made ones like that before! Also experimenting a little with the eye makeup, this time I had better brushes too! And bonus, tried some freckles, yay or nay xD

Thought I'd at least get to priming stuff, but nope, I've actually spent like 4 days sanding and filling holes in the models (not just those ones obviously), cold welding, sanding again, then it was putty... So final sanding and priming this weekend, I guess. Hopefully I'll paint everything before I print the next batch of stuff in a couple of weeks.

But I'm actually mostly happy with how Maellum is shaping up so far. I was dreading putting all 8 pieces together since it's the most ambitious print I've done to date. It seems sturdy af aside from the curvatives, one of which straight up refuses to get attached to the rest of the rapier. At this point, I used cold welding to glue it three times, holding it to the rapier for 10 minutes aka the time it should take this welding to glue the pieces, 2nd and 3rd attempt even longer. idk what it is about the second curvative, because the first one glued with no problem whatsoever and holds fantastically. But yeah, otherwise it is sturdy and heavy. Will use rod of lighter metal for Rumi's sword probably, otherwise I might not be able to hold it lol

But yeah, the plan for next month is to reprint a non-manifold lumina converter (probably led?), print Control's service weapon (probably something else, too, assuming I've got to be Jesse again in a month) & Rumi's sword. Optionally I'm also thinking of Key Vess' blaster and Astarion's dagger. But that will depend on the time I have and how many prints the printer decides to fuck uo, since for the sword and converted I'll partly be using transparent resin, and that's always somewhat a gamble.

And, well, yeah, I will need to paint everything, including the things I only did the very base spray painting on last year.

Slowly finishing painting thingies. 👀 Truly, if you'd told me a few months ago that I'll be doing crafts like that, I probably would have laughed. Actually finished Maelle's rapier the other day, too.

Still sorta stuck with my transparent prints, tho, Rumi sword(s plural in my case lmao) are harder than Maellum to even glue together since I can't glue them to the rod, and I can't paint them properly by hand, so I'm trying to figure out airbrushing now to make a decent semi-transparent base. :c

Also Rumi blades progress, the one that legit looks like a popsicle actually fell and broke at some point, the seams suck even tho I tried my best to sand, but was afraid to sand too much since they barely hold together without being glued to the rods, so...

Still, without looking too closely, I rather like them so far. Need to fill the carvings in with white neon and glue everything together with the handle parts, I guess... And hope I can make the led work, otherwise this whole transparent thing have been for nothing. xD

And one is painted with two colors of ink & a single chameleon on top, the other with one very deluded neon acrylic and three chameleon colors.

Very curious to see how they'll look once finished and glowing. And hopefully not falling apart, but so far luck is not on my side with anything Rumi. 😹

But it's giving me whiplash tbh, I've spent an ungodly amount of time trying to hide one of the seams, but no amount of sanding or cold welding helped. In fact, it only made it worse. I could of course go for the resin, but it's in the city, and I'm not there. So I'm just left with the seam in the middle & sort of a recess from trying to fix it lol

Decided to leave it be & not really care if gold paint makes a bit of a mess in places since ya know... Maellum actually looks textured af anyway, and even tho I'm not planning on adding texture paint, only some black, gold and bronze patina to make it more dimensional... I'm assuming an 'It's a feature, not a bug' philosophy from now on. Maaaaaybe some bronze wax as well, idk I've just bought it and haven't tested how it works.

I will, however, be adding texture paint to the handle to try and mimic the wood texture, and with that lord help me.

Helaena crown is almost done. I did fuck up trying to make the details look worn out, they were the perfect matching gold color before, but ah well, too late now. :( I am so not reprinting, sanding and painting them again...

I do kinda like it more than the original, tho.

Gun for Sylus myth is so??? It gave me whiplash trying to get it ready for printing, like to sculpt in the details I had to subdivide so much the model ended up being a whooping 1 Gb+, so like, blender straight up froze trying to limited dissolve even in parts or cut. 3D builder wouldn't even load it. After literal days of trying, I just fed it to chitubox as is, run repair in it, somehow fit it in at 23 cms height AND I'M IN LOVE AHHHHHHH

At this point, you should know I love my blades and guns for cosplay lmao.

Also chibi Mephie is so cute!!!

And yeah, a bunch of Clair Obscur printing going on as well. Painted Alicia's mask is a little too big for me, but I'm not sure if I'll try reprinting since I mostly wanted it just to sort of... Hold it for the shots, not wear it so... idk idk. If I don't get more failed prints along the way Esquie bowed out, I might.

And I just love that candle for some reason idk

Accidentally ripped off the figurine base I specifically added to the burgeon while getting rid of its last supports welp. Don't even know how to go about the Obscur supports since I'll probably just rip off every detail along the way 😂

Still need to figure out what to do with Mephie head and body metal parts, because even chitubox hates it and will probably fail the print. Ah well, I've got a couple more 9 hour prints ahead to figure it out.
