Test
This is a test post
I really feel like doing this cosplay ask, where you guys can ask questions and I reply with a gif of me in cosplay rping and answering the question. But nobody would ask me since I'm a peasant blog + even if I would, I wouldn't know which cosplay to pick; Alois Trancy, Bill Cipher, Dave Strider, Ciel Phantomhive or Rin Okumura... :/
Cosplay Support blog!
I have now made a blog that will be specifically for answering all sorts of cosplay questions, i have invited people to also help me run this blog in order to have a wider range of people who have experienced different things.

I will still be answering asks on my own personal blog as well but i want to be able to post my own stuff on my own sometimes hehe.
What advice for someone who truly loves cosplay but gets as bullied at con's for being overweight and its leading to starving themselves at home. They still love parts of the community but being picked on at con's by skinny divas is becoming harmful.
I would like to start off by saying, i am very very very sorry that your friend, or anyone for that matter has to go through that. I am going to make a list of things anyone with these sort of problems should try and do.
- First you should ALWAYS report abuse to the con-ops they are there to help you, they don’t want a bunch of crappy people walking around cons representing our love for all things anime/games/TV-shows/books/manga and everything else in terrible light. Chances are if they are bullying and harassing you or a friend they WILL be doing it to someone else, and people in the cosplay community shouldn’t let those people get away with whatever they want.
-Second always have some sort of support system, if you are new to cons i suggest going with friends, particularly ones you trust and ones that appreciate you. Try to not go by yourself if possible, or even go with family if at all possible, chances are a couple of sassy mean people aren’t going to harass a group of friends. If by chance you are attending alone and don’t have friends of family able to come with you, it’s best to try and talk to people and make some new friends, ask them if it’s cool to hang out with them discuss your interests/games/movies/anime/hobbies anything to get conversation going. that’s whats cons are for be yourself and makes friends! Celebrate!
-Cosplaying is all about being geeky and nerdy, and having fun so ignoring those people is also important, it isn’t a contest and people who make it seem like their cosplay is better than another cosplayer is what most sensible con goers like to call cosplay elitists. These people like to attend cons for their own weird sort of vanity. Say no to cosplay trollers or cosplayer trolls, these people insult, belittle, do anything in their power to get a reaction from you.The characters you cosplay. Not real people. Their expectations should not be yours. You are your own unique individual. Trying to makes yourself out to be the ideal of someone else who couldn’t care less about your feelings is a waste of your precious time and life. There is no rule book to cosplay, there is no rule stating people of certain body types cannot and should not cosplay.
Nobody is, and will ever be perfect.
- Go to panels and join groups who support plus size cosplayers, and cosplay equality. These cosplayers are not only there to talk about their experiences but they also wanna listen to what you have to say! I personally always attend these kinds of panels because everyone goes through some sort of rough patch with rude people at cons and real life. The conventions i go to are Anime Detour, Animinneapolis, and Meta-con, and ever one i have been to so far has had these panels. ( The only big con i have been to is Detour and i have met a select few rude people but there are tons more nicer people who have helped out so much with getting rid of cosplay hate/elitism! and just generally being extremely kind hearts!)
-Get help. If you have thoughts of suicide and or harming yourself in any way (INCLUDING STARVING YOURSELF! THAT IS SELF HARM!) Please talk to someone you trust, get help! professional or otherwise please you are worth everything to this community and i hope to see you at a con someday so we can be great friends!
Nobody is alone, nobody should be alone, and being there for one another is something this community is getting better at, i know it’s asking a lot, but please believe in us and believe in yourself too.
~If anyone wants someone to talk to, i have Skype messaging (or call if you prefer) or if you just want someone to listen, please add me @ smilingscribbler and or search Guaranteedphobia.
P.S. I actually just recently got back from a convention and the biggest one we have which is Anime Detour which is why it took so long for this reply to happen. i was also unsure if you were posting as yourself or for friends specifically but I hope i covered everything, and i hope that your friend gets back into cons because there’s just so much to be seen and so much fun to have and i really want to be there for all of you guys! Please be safe and if you or your friend have any questions add me on Skype or if you aren't comfortable with that you can send me as many ask as you want! Love you guys! you all mean the world to me!
I'm sorry i don't do this very often, i really should but i'm a shy little butt.
So I've thought about what i want to make my tumblr into, and I've been thinking a cosplayers-feel good ask thing. I deal with many friends and even family members who put themselves down about their body or personality, or whatever else, especially when it comes to cosplay. I want to be able to help people, because for many years i did the same thing, i thought i would never get to cosplay or go to conventions my entire growing up. and now here i am, bein' a nerdo. And i love it. I'm not the brightest person all the time, but I've had quite a bit of experience. and i'm sure i can do some good with a hobby that i love to death. So please feel free to ask me questions about anything. Please take into consideration that i am by no means a "pro" at anything.
(Also if someone could please explain to me how tumblr kind of works i'd appreciate it, im not very tech/website-savy, even facebook is a challenge for me) And these are the rest of my Mirai Kuriyama photo's i haven't been able to post. i want to be more active!
