A/N: I read so many headcanons on here and I loved them so much so I wanted to join and write some myself. I hope someone of you will read it and get some butterflies in the stomach🦋
•He probably had a crush on you for weeks and weeks maybe months before he finally asked you out.
•Even though he would never admit it he was soooo damn nervous and tried to act cool while he was an emotional mess. Before asking you out he had been emotionally unavailable the whole day (drove the Elite crazy because he didn't get shit that day),drank a Whiskey in one sip (official number no one knows the exact tho), gave himself a prep talk probably involving country lyrics and went through the first sentence he planned to say to you over and over again in his head.
•After being together for a while he told you he had been in love with you since the first time he looked into your eyes...it would've been totally cliché but he had told you while laying on a blanket in the back of his pick up truck while watching the stars on a warm Virginia night. The look he gave you told you that he couldn't have been more honest.
•He really likes to do all kinds of things when he's with you and gives a lot of thought in planning out whole days and trips. His greatest reward is when you hug him At the end of the day and tell him how happy you are. He just wants you to have a great time.
•Adam's also the biggest homebody ever and will not shy away from admitting that. It's not that he's lazy or boring it's just that he finds happiness in all the little things. He doesn't need fancy restaurants or overcrowded places.
•Most dates will take place outdoors. Hiking, fishing, rodeo, watching fireflies, hayrides, picnicking, watching the stars from his pick up truck etc just making the most out of every season....those are the things he's into.
•You went on a bunch of country and bluegrass concerts together and he always had your back when the crowd got rowdy while also being the life of the party himself. He also bought you a new hat before your first concert so you would always remember that day.
•You always show each other your new favorite artists and love to listen to records together while driving. Adam even made you some mixed CDs with hidden messages on some occasions.
•Slow Dancing. He loves to spin you round. He isn't the best dancer but it's so damn romantic everytime he does it.
•Movie nights (especially western movies & stuff like Smokey and the Bandit or Convoy) but he'll watch everything with you.
•Front porch kissing, even if it takes you an hour to say goodbye.
•He likes to hold you in his arms. Doesn't matter if your just hugging, sitting on the Couch or whatever he just likes to wrap them around you
•Loves it when you fall asleep in his arm. He thinks it's the cutest.
•Loves it even more when you wake up next to him. These first few seconds when you look into his eyes after you just woke up are most precious to him.
•He likes to hold hands even tho not neccesary when everyone's around cuz even tho he would like to show you off to everyone as his girlfriend he doesn't want to shove it in everyone's faces either.
•Made a big deal out of your first kiss, probably planned it all out so that it would be romantic.
•Likes to steal kisses whenever possible now. Especially before matches.
•Even though he's really confident in your relationship he also often thinks you deserve better than him, which you tell him is bullshit.
•Will whoop all asses that offend you. Also knows if he don't, you will do it yourself.
•You guys probably got thrown out of some bars on several occasions for raisin' some hell.
•You two definitly layed on the back of his pick up truck and imagined how your outlaw story would go.
•You can always count on him.
• Your friends thought he was a moody beer loving dude but what they didn't know is that he's the kinda guy who will always make you laugh with the most stupid joke just to bring some light into a dark day.
•You're both really close to your families so Adam made sure that your kin liked him. He even won your grumpy grandpa over by showing him that he valued honesty and hard work just like him.
•He loves to listen to you telling stories and he loves to see your eyes light up.
•You don't argue often but when you do he's probably gonna storm off, think everything through and come back with an apology and handpicked flowers from a field.
•He would defend you infront of everyone within the blink of an eye.
