For the couples ask! 41 and... actually I'm very curious about 39 for Korra and Kuvira 😁
Okay, @udaberriwrites, #39 is "Who's the Prince Charming and Who's the Damsel in Distress? Who's the Dragon?"
Lol, this is a good one! I gotta admit that it's very hard for me to picture either Korra or Kuvira as a Damsel in Distress. In fact, there are few women in TLoK that I could fit that role, but if I had to choose, I think the best moment to see this scenario play out would be during the Battle of Republic City.
In fact, Kuvira could double as both the Dragon and the Damsel in Distress. First, as the dragon when she's attacking Korra with the Colossus
Then, she becomes the Damsel in Distress when she faces the spirit cannon while Prince Charming Korra rushes in to save her from her own bad decisions
And again, right after the creation of the new Spirit Portal (their baby 😂) when Korra breaks her fall in the Spirit World. Talk about a fairy tale with a twist!
#41. "Who's your most repressed/oblivious character? Who's your most aware character? What makes them different?"
Repressed and/or oblivious character? Korra has definitely had her oblivious moments in my stories, but if we're talking trauma, Lin and Kuvira with their unprocessed trauma are the repressed feelings champions, or, like some have smartly remarked, "emotionally constipated." On the other hand, I believe Asami is the most self-aware character I've written about because she has deftly fielded everything that's been hurled her way.
useful/fun development questions 3, 5, 10 and 15’s for Tragen and Jaesa please 🥺
3. what was the moment that first made their ~heart~ Soft for the other person? Not necessarily a conscious realization of “I love this person,” but a moment that had them like “Oh…I adore them…”
I don't think either of them can pinpoint an exact moment, it was more a trend of seeing how they act, treat other, what they'll speak up in defense/condemnation of. The closest to a moment they had before the Wild Space Expedition was probably around Jaesa's final showdown with Cendence. Tragen's confidence in her, his trust not to push for details she didn't want to give afterward, the fact Jaesa proved herself every bit as strong as he knew she was, he was so proud of her and she was so grateful to him... I think if either of them had had any prior romantic experience something might've clicked there. It still strengthened their friendship a lot, gave them an even deeper level of connection.
5. How do they consciously realize that they like the other character? Does it take them a while?
For Jaesa it was 2-3 years post Wild Space Expedition, when people started really nudging that she should give up looking for him, everyone on there is dead, just bc you didn't "Feel him die" doesn't mean it didn't happen and she CAN'T. His absence feels like half her heart got ripped out of her chest and she CANNOT. give up. looking for him. There's this emptiness on his end of their Force bond, but it's not the emptiness of absence, like he's dead, it's the emptiness of a call left open in an unoccupied room, where if you(She) just yell loud enough and long enough someone(He) will hear and answer. that 2-3 year mark, as she starts having to dig in her heels about giving up, she also examines WHY she doesn't want to give up, and realizes it's because she was at least halfway in love with him.
For Tragen, it's probably about the point they reach Odessen and he finally gets a chance to breathe and it really sinks in that Jaesa's not here and there's this... hollow feeling, like he's missing something of the utmost importance not having her around. (I feel like Valkorion would actively work to interfere with their bond, further isolate Tragen from one of his surest sources of hope and strength) IT doesn't take long after that for it to click why it feels hollow without her.
10. What scares them about entering a relationship?
Neither of them know what they're doing in a romantic relationship and they're both afraid they'll mess it up somehow, at first.
15. What, for them, constitutes a level of intimacy that they would only rarely share with someone? This can be physical, emotional, etc.
Well, for Tragen, the complete honesty about his nature, hiding absolutely nothing, is a level of trust and intimacy he's only ever extended to her. Jaesa is more open and plain about her doubts and worries with him than with anyone else.
Hmmm.... for the relationship stuff. Can I ask for Legend/Marin 1,3 and 13?? Pretty please.
Ooh! Sure!
1. Marin likes to get Legend's attention by pranking him. Splashing him or flicking him with water is her favorite method, since startling him is a bit out of the question. That only works when she's playful, the rest of the time, they just use each other's name. legend loves hearing Marin call his name, it fills him with so much warmth and never fails to make him feel safe. Legend also just uses her name, but he's always kinda shy to say it. Marin thinks it's adorable.
3. Legend is extremely twitchy, and Marin just accepts that as being a him thing. His feet tap when he's frustrated, he fiddles with his rings when he's thoughtful or nervous and his ears are forever moving. His nose shivers when he's lying or disgusted too. They're things she associates with him now. Meanwhile, Legend associates random humming and song with Marin. She tends to hum under her breath, and when she's in a good mood she kind of dances around while working. She can make doing the washing look like a complex dance. Her hands are always moving, and she flaps them a lot when she gets happy or excited. She's also forever playing with her hair because it falls in her face, but she refuses to pull it back because it always gets tangled in the hair ties.
13. Legend was actually quite the jokester before the island disappeared, and he would bust out the most corny, terrible jokes all the time. He was also a circus kid for a bit, so he likes doing old bits for Marin when she's upset or down. It got to the point that when she's upset she would toss something random at him and he would juggle it, and she would keep tossing stuff at him until everything fell down. It never failed to make her smile. When Legend is down, she would drag him outside somewhere and find someplace to sit. Legend is a cuddler when he's upset, and she's just have him rest his head in her lap while she would sing and play with his hair. It calms him down a lot, and he loves it. She also likes making weird faces, so she does that when she wants him to laugh. It's impressive how ugly she can make herself look.
H-hello. I-is this thing on right? *chuckles nervously* Alright then. *breathes deeply* Hi there everyone, I have an announcement to make. This is Atsushi Nakajima, lead protagonist of the show Bungou Stray Dogs and also Christina’s boyfriend here featured on her side blog. So I want to take a moment and say very happily...
I’ll be hosting my very first ever F/O Takeover!
And it will go on from November 22nd-24th, Friday through Sunday before the holidays.
I’m very open to any sort of questions you guys have about us as a couple. I’ll take questions about how we met, for example, and also other couples asks related to that, but please make sure to keep it PG-13. Even though I am technically an adult I still get very flustered about suggestive material so take it easy! My heart can’t take too much to be honest, haha!
So have fun with asking me questions until then, and remember that the takeover will be starting in less than two days from now! See you all soon! 🐯💓
Blake and Aiden too please! I love Eden and Jude most but I also quite like these two! OH! And Xander and Zubin please!
AAaw, thank you so much for asking about these guys too! I really really appreciate it 💙💙
Blake and Aiden
who gets sick more often: Hands down, Aiden! Working in a hospital and all that, he definitely picks things up easier (and he didn’t have the best immune system as a kid)
who is the better caretaker: This is Aiden too - I mean, there is a reason he’s training to be a nurse and all that, he’s definitely an amazing caretaker.
who is the most needy when they’re sick: Blake.. he’s used to being looked after, he always was as a child really - so he kinda expects it.
who gets startled/worried every time the other sneezes: Aiden does, nursing instincts kick in and all that.
who stocks the house with cold medicine and orange juice: This one is Aiden too 😂
who is more careful not to spread their illness and who doesn’t care: Aiden is neurotic about trying not to spread germs, he’s very good at disinfecting things with bleach 😂
who gets cuddly when they’re feverish: Oh, Aiden does. He gets all clingy and teary and everything.
who tries to pretend they’re fine: Blake will normally try to act like he’s okay, until he’s not and then it’s probably too late.
who tries weird/old-fashioned remedies: Blake would be more likely to try them, but in honesty they’re both a bit skeptical.
Xander and Zubin:
who gets sick more often: Zubin definitely!
who is the better caretaker: Xander is a superb caretaker - and I mean superb! (I mean his kink kinda comes into it a bit, but yeah).
who is the most needy when they’re sick: Zubin definitely is.
who gets startled/worried every time the other sneezes: Zubin gets worried when Xander does, because when he gets sick it tends to be really bad...
who stocks the house with cold medicine and orange juice: This one is a Xander thing again 😂
who is more careful not to spread their illness and who doesn’t care: Zubin honestly doesn’t care, but that normally cause he doesn’t think about things that deeply.
who gets cuddly when they’re feverish: Xander does, and it tends to worry Zubin a little, because he’s not exactly like that normally.
who tries to pretend they’re fine: Xander will say he’s fine, or he’ll just disappear, he’s not good at recognising when he’s not feeling well right up until the last moment.
who tries weird/old-fashioned remedies: Ooh, Zubin uses a lot of Saudi remedies, which mostly are totally weird!
For the ask game: Wars & Sablya, and all the numbers! ...Just kidding XD How about just 1, 5, 8, 12, & 13?
Omgosh! I didn't think anyone would bring of Sablya! Thank you, Tel! I didn't know I wanted this!
(For those who don't know, Sablya is a OC I created for my Ties That Bind AU, she is Warriors' estranged wife)
1. To get Sablya's attention Warriors used to call her name. If he really wanted her to talk to him or pay attention, he'd try talking to her in her own language. He butchers it every time, but it never failed to get her to answer him. They used to use Gerudo around the house too, and he does much better with that.
Sablya likes to get his attention in random ways. If she was upset she would shadow dive and trip him up so he had to listen to her, but she also has a tendency of picking him up and holding him at eye level if she wanted to talk about something important. That only worked so well though, because Wars would flush tomato red when she did that.
Both of them will just yell butchered versions of each others' names most times though, because she likes teasing him on his accent and horrible pronunciation skills and he likes teasing right back.
5. Once upon a time, Warriors would whisper that sort of thing all the time to Sablya, and she would just wrap him up all warm and whisper something in her mother's tongue. They're the only sentences that he knows by heart in her language. When she would say it, he would pull her down into a kiss.
Now, if the other said it, Warriors would probably cry, and Sablya would clam up like Legend. Warrriors doesn't declare his love or trust anymore, he knows the results of that, and while Sablya will still say she loves him, she never uses the 't' word anymore. Neither of them can. It's been a hard few years.
8. They both used to snitch food from each other all the time before the war. It was something of a game to see who could snitch the most without the other being able to stop them. This has, in fact, resulted in food fights at the kitchen table. They toned it down once Zvezda was born, but only by being more sneaky about it. They eat as much of each other's portions as they do their own. And when cooking (they used to share kitchen duty) it was something of a contest to see who could successfully make something with the other home, without having the other snitch a portion.
12. Warriors both loved and hated it when Sablya used terms of endearment on him. She never used the Hylian words, and he would go weeks or months without knowing if she was teasingly insulting him or flirting. He tried to learn what she was saying, but everyone who could teach him is in on it, so he would have to suffer. Sablya would give him answers on occasion though, usually as a reward if he made her really happy. On the other hand, Warriors loved giving Sablya all sorts of pet names, and she loved it too. She'd always smirk at him and sometimes tap his nose or kiss him, before going on with her day. He loved it, and would never have had it any other way.
13. On bad days, Sablya would curl up in their room with all the curtains closed and the lights out. Wars usually made an effort to just sit with her and hold her until things got better. He'd tell her stories about his day and the two of them would people judge his co-workers until she felt better. Sometimes she'd ask him to sing, and he does, but only for her and their son. No one but his family knows what he sounds like when he sings, and he wants to keep it that way. He has a lovely voice though :)
When Warriors is feeling down though, they did the exact opposite. Sablya would drag him around town and they'd buy a few things before going home for a pamper session. She loves his hair and he loves letting her do his makeup. His hands shake so much that he can't do it well, but she's a queen at it, and he always feels fabulous afterwards. They're both gossips, so they spend that time trading news and secrets and stuff like teenage girls.
For Robin and Dei: 1,2,3,5,7,12 & 13 (sorry if that's too many)
Yee! I love talking about these two!
1. Robin gets Dei's attention by whistling at him. She's incredibly good at whistling too. Dei usually just got her attention by calling her name.
2. Robin is where Sky gets his cuddling tendencies. She loves physical contact and absolutely adores having a huge husband, because that means she gets big hugs! (Sky is the same way about Groose's hugs). Robin likes almost constant contact, even if it just meant leaning against each other's backs while they work, or having their feet touch under the table while eating.
Dei was trained as a knight, and has a bit more concern for decorum and grace at first. He's not really used to affectionate touch that isn't slaps on the back or hand clasps from his brothers in arms. Robin helped him warm up more to it though. He enjoys contact with those that he loves and trusts, but otherwise will maintain physical distance from them.
3. Robin whistles and clicks her tongue a lot when she's working, and Dei has become used to her constantly making noise, even just subtle ones, throughout the day. She also tends to tap her fingers or toes, when she's eating, when working, all the time.
Dei still sticks to his soldier schedule on most days, despite being the only soldier at the time he and Robin were together. Every day he gets up early, he patrols Skyloft, and he comes home for a quick breakfast with her before heading to the Academy to help teach. And every evening after dinner he pulls out his armor and weapons and cleans them while Robin works on her weaving. Robin is spontaneous and he is well organized, and they count on the other to help switch it up on occasion. She counts on him for stability and he on her for excitement.
5. Robin is a very trusting person, very warm with everyone, so hearing her say "I love you" isn't uncommon. But that doesn't make it any less beautiful, just less of a special occasion and more a thing to look forwards to happily. She never fails to tell Dei that she loves him every morning when he leaves to go to the Academy, and she always whispers it before settling down for the night. Dei loves it, and he's not ready to leave or go to sleep until he hears it. When he left for the surface she told him 'I love you' 60 times, because she thought he would be gone only a month.
Dei is less open with affection, as previously mentioned, but he shows his love in little ways like writing Robin poetry and doing little things around the house that she isn't expecting. He does say it, but only on very special occasions when he's so overcome that his stupid Link-like emotional wall crumbles. The day they got married, the day they finished building their house and the day he left for the surface are the ones that stand out the most. Had he known they were going to have a kid, he would have told her it a million times before leaving, if he had ever left at all, but Robin only found out after he had gone away.
'I trust you' happens ore with Dei, and less with Robin. She shows her trust in everything from being willing to jump off cliffs for Dei (Sky got that from her too) to letting him loose in the kitchen whenever he wants. Dei tells her all thee time though, because trust is something he knew he had to have, had to give, when fighting as a knight. Any time they do something, or he asks her to do something for him, he usually tacks on something about believing in Robin or trusting her. She thinks it's silly and sweet, but in a good way, and she loves it.
7. Dei is tall, very tall. He is roughly seven feet now, after being changed, and Robin was maybe 5 and a half feet tall, so normal stride for him is jogging pace for her, and again, Sky got his asthma from his mom. So Dei walks very slowly and in small steps, and Robin walks normally and with big steps when they go places together. To save time though, Dei used to just pick her up and carry her, half as a joke and half because he loved holding her in his arms. Robin didn't mind, but she teased him relentlessly for it.
12. Dei doesn't use terms of endearment. He thinks using a persons name is too wonderful to not bother with, so he enjoys using first names with the people he is closest too. Orville and Robin are the only two that really held that spot though. When he says Robin's name, it's wih a reverence that never fails to warm her heart. Robbiin uses all sorts of pet names for him though, and while she definitely has her favorites, they're always playful. First names are what they use most of the time, and Dei adores hearing her say his name. It's so special to hear after being called "the hero" by most people for a good part of his life.
13. Robin is easy to make laugh, and even Dei's most serious expressions can make her laugh. She finds it so funny to see him trying to be stern, when she knows what a softy he really is. He also tells the dullest of dull jokes, but he tries so hard and that alone makes her crack a smile, no matter how bad things have been. In the reverse, Robin is something of a comedian and a master of jokes and gags; she's something of an entertainer at heart, so she will pull out all the stops to make Dei smile when she thinks he's had a bad day.
Hope these make you smile as much as they made me, Tel!
Casey brings out a more human side to every one’s favourite Dr Terminator. He is still the attending you do not want to get on the wrong side of but now there is a more patient and human side.
Casey was always driven but Ethan brings that out in her more too. Which in a way Ethan was proud of because you know he was concerned he would not be able to push her to be the doctor she could be if he was involved
22. How did their backgrounds affect their relationships
Well both were from not overly affluent backgrounds and both had to work to get to where they are now. The biggest difference is that Casey has both parents and a brother and Ethan was an only child and was eventually from a single parent family. Casey’s family have been very welcoming of Ethan. So it has not affected their relationship too much
