Like i said, i don't know how to make gifs myself, but i was wondering if it is more trouble than it's worth to add something like a signature in the corner so people can't really steal them and claim credit. Or is it incredibly difficult to add something unmoving to a moving image on top of all the other alterations (i've seen others have difficulties with thieves as well. so now im curious)
It’s not difficult to watermark, and I do it for some stuff (usually super hard stuff - see my really fucking hard stuff tag - or stuff where I don’t know the fandom so well), but overall it’s generally not gonna stop thieves being thieves when it comes to gifs. I see reposted stuff with watermarks all the time. Plus it ruins the aesthetic (in my opinion), especially for just regular gifsets.
