I Didn't Know I Cared This Much || Selfie
For once, Vidia was actually sitting in the stands of a Hogwarts Qudditch game. It might have been the first time, actually, since she was normally playing in the Cup. Sighing, she mentally kicked herself for even being interested in the game. In all honesty, she couldn't keep her eyes off the match. It was a close game, one that was exciting enough to watch that you didn't really care who won.
Slipping her eyes between the players (and silently taking note of some of the better plays), Vidia followed the Quaffle from one end to another. Suddenly, she could hear Shang's voice clearly over anyone elses - and he was far above them nearly half a pitch away. Her eyes fixing on Shang, she saw the bludger barrelling towards him. Without noticing, she jumped to her feet and screamed the first - and only - thing that she could think. "Shang! SHANG NO!" As the bludger hit, she almost saw it happen in slow motion. Smacking into his left hip, Shang's broom shattered from the impact much like she imagined the bones inside his body did too. Vidia was halfway down the stands before she realised where she was going, and the realisation only made her speed up.
While she was fast, she wasn't fast enough to beat the teachers that were already on the sides of the pitch. Finding her way blocked, she pulled her wand and pointed it at anyone and everyone in her way. "Move the FUCK out of my way!" Came out of her mouth at full volume, her eyes narrow slits of anger. Shoving through everyone, she skidded to Shang's side and dropped to her knees. "Shang!" She called, reaching out and wrapping her hand around his wrist and refusing to move.
Vidia stayed by Shang's side the entire way to the hospital wing, threatening anyone who attempted to remove her with her wand in their face and curses on the tip of her tongue. Underneath her panic, an undercurrent of "I didn't think I cared this much" ran through her mind, only serving to heighten her fears. Eventually, she forced her brain to shut up and rested her forehead on the side of Shang's bed, closing her eyes.
