“This is... Nice.” - @snifelisnifsnif
Aleks Marchant
Travelling around the holidays was always a nightmare. Too many people and too little patience just spelled disaster for most endeavors. Which is why when your plans to go back to Massachusetts with Aleks to visit his family for the holiday fell through you weren’t entirely surprised. That’s not to say that you weren’t disappointed; Aleks had been looking forward to introducing you to his family and showing around his hometown, things you were very excited to do.
Now, however, the two of you were stuck in LA after more than one canceled flight and several less than helpful airline employees. It was obvious to you that Aleks was bummed. He was never one to really celebrate the holidays but for once he was genuinely looking forward to something, so it was a little disheartening that it had to be cut off so suddenly.
When you returned home from the airport, Aleks took all of the bags back up to your shared bedroom and you decided to try and bring a little cheer back to him. As soon as he was up the stairs, you hurried to the fridge and pulled out the cookie dough that was still in there, set it on the counter, and turned to preheat the oven. While the oven was heating up, you grabbed a few blankets from beside the couch and set them up before pulling up Netflix and looking for a good Christmas movie.
After settling on How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you went back to the kitchen and put the pre-cut cookie dough pieces on a tray to slip into the oven. Humming softly to yourself, you grabbed two mugs from the cupboard and found the last of the cocoa mix that was stashed away as well. The sound of Aleks’ footsteps coming down the stairs hit your ears.
“Honey, what do you want to do for di- what’s this?”
You turned around to face him, both mugs of cocoa in your hands and smiled across the open living area at him. “I know it sucks that we couldn’t go on our trip so… I decided to bring some Christmas here,” you shrugged, holding out a mug for him. Aleks blinked back at your for a beat before a wide smile spread over his face and he began walking over towards you. He approached you, took one of the mugs, and slipped his other arm around your waist to pull you closer.
He hummed softly and kissed your temple, “Mm, thank you.”
“C’mon… I got a movie pulled up too,” you said, pulling away and leading him back to the couch.
Aleks sat down on the sofa and gently pulled you down to sit beside him before he grabbed the remote to start to movie. You reached over and spread one of the throw blankets over both of your laps, pressing closer to Aleks’ side. His arm laid across your shoulders and took a long sip of his hot chocolate. The movie start to play and a little ways in the smell of the cookies in the oven floated through the kitchen over to where you were sitting.
With a small sigh, Aleks kissed the top of your head. “This is… nice,” he breathed out, kissing your hair again, “Thank you.”
“quit it or i’ll bite.” for my sweet russian prince aleks? <3
“Aleks. Allleks,” you punctuated his name each time you said it with a poke to the side which in turn made him squirm.
He didn’t engage with you because it would just make him mess up during his turn and he was not going to let that happen because he knew it was your goal.
He finally finished and sighed as he set down the controller. You frowned a little because he still beat you. You rolled your eyes deciding to lose interest in the game now that you lost and poked his cheek, “Aleks.”
“Quit it or I’ll bite,” he threatened finally looking over at you, keeping his tone playful and light.
You smirked, “Is that a promise?”
“Keep trying and you’ll see,” he practically purred.
You went to poke him again and James finally spoke up, “You guys. We’re still filming. Can we keep it clean so youtube doesn’t demonetize us?”
You frowned and leaned back but Aleks leaned in and whispered softly to you, “Later.”
Yo. So for the Disney prompts could you do something with "You Are The Music In Me" from High School Musical 2 with Aleks? (I'm pretty sure HSM is Disney)
Hell yeah HSM is Disney!!! Also this tsf took me a while cause I got distracted listening to the entire soundtrack lmao
“Are you ready?” Aleks asked as both your names and chosen song title were called out by the announcer at the bar.
“Remind we why we’re doing this again?” You huffed, the two of you making your way through the crowds to the karaoke machine.
“For fun?” He offered, cringing at his own response.
“Bullshit, but I’m just tipsy enough to continue on with this crap,” You laughed nervously, following Aleks up onto the stage.
It wasn’t until halfway through the song that the exchange of lines with him became more fun than nerve wracking.
“I sang you words I’ve never said, and it was easy because you see the real me,” Aleks sang, moving closer to you, drunkenly swaying to the melody.
As the two of you finished the last line you broke down into a fit of giggles, realising just how close your faces were. “You make a great Troy.” Aleks laughed in response, leading you off the stage with your hand clasped firmly in his.
(yess oml) "I fucking love you" with jealous best friend Aleksandr please? fluff is great but if you want to go further I wouldn't mind smut ;)
“Hey loser,” You toss a pillow as the scruffy head of his as you walk past. “What the fuck was that for?” Aleks rubs his head, raising his voice a little. “Dunno,” You shrug, falling back into the leather couch sighing. Your boyfriend wouldn’t be home til late so you invited Aleks over for a game night to keep you company -- you hated being along and Aleks knowing everything about that, responded to your request immediately.
You and Aleks went way back, you met back at pax through a mutual friend and you kept in contact every since, growing closer and closer with each and every meme exchanged. It was hard to believe that this loser was also one that could be serious when he needed to be and gave you a shoulder to cry on, accompanied by a case or 2 of your favourite alcohol.
“You okay?”
“Yeah,” You sigh, grabbing an xbox controller from the coffee table. “1v1 me in Call of Duty.” You smirk, Aleks sighs and grabs for the remaining black controller and looks you dead in the eye, “You’re on, bitch.”
Time flew by with the clicking of buttons, echoes of shots being fired and shrieks of victory. Aleks eventually gave up and threw his controller on the table and crossed his arms over his chest, looking down sadly.
“Humpf,” He exacurates, pouting his bottom lip. You laugh, pressing the Xbox button, placing the controller on the coffee table and pulling your legs up the couch, crossing them while turning to face Aleks. You prop your chin up with your fist and smile.
“What’s wrong Aleksandr? Did your best friend in the entire world kiss your ass?”
He didn’t reply, he just kept looking forward with a sad, dead look in his eyes. He opened his mouth to say something but the front door swings open and in struts your boyfriend, Y/B/N.
“Hey baby,” Y/B/N walks okay to you and kiss you on the cheek, glaring at Aleks before pinching your ass. You give Y/B/N a stern look, you felt nothing but sick. “Go to bed,” You demand, Y/B/N doesn’t protest but huffs instead as he walks away. You roll your eyes.
“Is he always such a jackass?” Aleks perks up, breaking his facade.
“Yeah,”
“Why don’t you leave him, you don’t seem too happy with him.”
“I have no-where to go otherwise,” You argue, grabbing your bottle of beer and sipping the drops that remained.
“Y/N, you can always stay with me. It’s kind of lonely in my house anyway.”
“Aleks, I can’t. I don’t think your girlfriend would very much appro - “
Aleks cuts you off with a brief kiss, “I fucking love you Y/N. Don’t you see that? Stay with me, I don’t want to see you sad anymore.”
Silence grew between the both of you, you were mostly in shock but those butterflies and a giddy feeling told you otherwise. You were suppressing your feeling for him for the longest time but now, now I guess it was all on the table.
“I love you too Aleks,” You ramble, your eyes stinging with tears. “Come on, let’s get out of here. We can come back for your stuff tomorrow,” Aleks grabs you by the hand, squeezing as tightly as he could without hurting you as you silently plotted your way to the front door.

“I might die if it gets any colder.” - @adamantium-ellis
Brett Hundley
“LA has spoiled you.”
Your eyes cut to the side to see Brett standing at the back of the rental car, watching you with a wide grin and laughing eyes. His breath was escaping him in clouds of white wisps that floated off into the night air with each exhale. You let out a huff and watched as your own frozen breath drifted off. The two of you had just landed in Denver and you were already regretting not keeping your coat out.
“It’s fucking freezing,” you grumbled.
Crossing your arms over your chest, you shifted your weight from foot to foot while you waited for Brett to finish packing all of your luggage in the trunk. “Do you want your coat?” he asked, casting a knowing look in your direction. He had thought ahead and a small part of you hated the smug expression on his face because he brought a jacket, and hat, and scarf onto the plane with him so he would be prepared for the evening landing.
You could only nod your head as you scurried closer to where he was unzipping your suitcase. Right on top was the winter coat you had purchased in Denver last year when you’d come to visit Brett’s family for Christmas. Before Brett could even try to, you reached into the bag and snatched up the garment to hurriedly pull it on over your sweatshirt. Once it was zipped up, you let out a content sigh, shoving your hands into the pockets.
“Y’know, this is nothing, right? It’s supposed to be colder every night we’re here,” Brett warned, putting the bag into the trunk and closing it tightly.
You stared back at Brett with wide eyes and for a moment it felt as if your entire world had come to an end. “Brett, I might die if it gets any colder,” you said seriously. Your hands clenched into fists in your pockets and you felt yourself shiver slightly as a bit of falling snow landed on the nape of your neck, below the collar of your coat. “I’m going to die a popsicle in Denver, Colorado.”
Brett rolled his eyes and walked over to wrap you up in his arms and pull you closer to him. Even through both of your winter coats, you could feel his warmth radiating outward. You sighed loudly and allowed your head to rest on Brett’s shoulder as your body relaxed against his. He chuckled lowly and swayed slightly from side to side, hugging you just a bit tighter.
“You’ll be fine. We’ll get you inside with some warm blankets, hot coffee, and those fuzzy socks my mom gets you every year,” he murmured softly into your hair.
You nodded your head and leaned back just enough to look Brett in the eye, just watching him for a moment and all but forgetting about the cold nighttime air. “Can we sit by the fire for a while?” you asked in a low voice.
Nobody Told Me There’d Be Days Like These: Aleks Marchant
Word Count: 730
Summary: Sometimes a little TLC is all you need.
Though they didn’t happen nearly as often as they once had, you were well acquainted with what you had dubbed your dark days. Days where no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t bring yourself out of the funk in your head and all you wanted to do was curl up in bed away from everyone and everything. For some reason or another this particular dark day was harder than the last few had been; you had even called out of work opting to stay home alone.
You texted Aleks earlier in the day and told him you weren’t feeling well and suggested he figure out dinner for himself as you weren’t feeling up to either eating or making anything to eat. He hadn’t replied and that settled heavily on your mind as well, though you tried to push it away.
As the sun was setting and a pale golden pink strip of light came piercing through the small slit between the bedroom curtains, the rumbling of the garage below momentarily took your focus away from the movie playing on the television. You could hear Mishka’s feet skittering on the wood floors downstairs and after a moment or two you were able to make out the sound of Aleks speaking softly to her before the door leading outside opened - you assumed he took let her out to go to the bathroom.
The apartment was relatively still for a while until you heard Aleks’ feet coming up the stairs which caused Celia, who was asleep beside you, to stir slightly. You tore your eyes away from the screen to see him walking in the room with arms full of bags from the store. Curiously, you pushed yourself up to look at him for a moment, confusion evident on your face. “What’s all this?” you asked, absently pulling Celia into your lap.
“I got some things for you,” he murmured, setting the bags on the bed.
He rifled around in the bags for a few seconds before he began taking things out and tossing them in your direction. “Your favorite ice cream, some chocolate, caramels, that tea you like… uh, some fuzzy socks, a couple hair and face masks; oh, and this body spray,” he rattled all of the items as they landed near you.
“These are an awful lot of face masks,” you said as you picked one up and turned the package over in your hands.
Aleks climbed up on the bed beside you and sighed softly, “Yeah well, I thought I’d do one too.”
You looked up from the pack in your hands and glanced in Aleks’ direction, your eyebrows furrowing slightly. “You hate shit on your face. Especially goopy shit,” you said, as if he had forgotten. Aleks shrugged and leaned back against the pillows as he took off his hat and tossed it to the nightstand on his side of the bed.
“Yeah, but you like to do it and I just wanna make you happy,” he said in a low sort of voice, casting an almost bashful look at you.
There was a beat or two of silence as you blinked back at him before a smile gently tugged at the corners of your mouth. “I love you,” you simply said, leaning over to press a small kiss against Aleks’ lips. He sighed softly into the kiss and smiled warmly back at you as you pulled away from him.
Aleks nodded his head, “I love you too. So, pick some face masks, put on those fuzzy socks, and I’ll be right back.”
You watched as he slipped off of the bed and started towards the bedroom door. “Where are you going?” you asked. Aleks paused in the doorway and turned around to look back at you. He leaned against the doorframe and something about the way he was watching you with his warm, brown eyes and easy smile seemed to lift some of the dark clouds that had fogged up your brain for most of the day.
“I ordered some food that should be here soon. And I’m going to get you a spoon before your ice cream melts,” he replied as he turned back to walk out of the room. He made it a few steps before calling back to you, “Don’t pick a honey one for me. I love you but not that much!”
Together We’ll Ring in the New Year: Aleks Marchant
Word Count: 1218
Summary: It’s a mad dash to wrap up resolutions from the year before the clock strikes twelve.
I was commissioned by @twiceinabluemoon to write this.
The week leading up to New Year’s Eve was essentially an all out war in the group chat that had been set up between your collection of friends. Some people were adamant about going out to bar hop to celebrate, some just wanted a grown up dinner party, others were rallying for a house party to ring in the new year. In the end, it had become your job to create some semblance of a compromise lest no one end up doing anything for the holiday and everyone was forever bitter about it.
It was decided that you would all meet for drinks at a bar in West Hollywood, before making your way a restaurant nearby for a nice, sit down dinner, and finally you’d all find your way to Aleks’ place for an actual New Year’s party.
Some convincing was definitely necessary for some people but in the end, it seemed as if it was all going to work. After the group of you left the bar, you started down the street towards the restaurant. “I’m starving,” Aleks complained from beside you as the you of you trailed behind everyone else. You chuckled softly and shook your head as you pulled your jack a bit tighter around your body, even if it never got particularly cold in Los Angeles the temperature had definitely dipped into the chilly range while you were all in the bar.
“You’re always starving,” you teased, bumping your shoulder into his.
Aleks scoffed softly and gently knocked back into your side, “Alright, calm down… let’s just get some dinner and go back to my place.”
As the two of you approached the door to the restaurant, Lindsey was there holding it open for you. “Thanks,” you both murmured with smiles as you slipped inside. There was little to no waiting around before your group was being led back to the table. Before you made it there, Aleks wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you closer to his side.
“I got dinner since you got drinks,” he said lowly into your ear.
You turned your head and looked at him but when you attempted to argue with him, he promptly withdrew his arm and pulled off his coat to sit himself down at the table. You rolled your eyes and scoffed softly before you slipped off your own jacket and sat down in the chair beside Aleks. Quickly, everyone else got settled and drinks and appetizers were ordered.
“So, did anyone actually complete their resolutions this year?” Brett asked, sipping his beer.
“I did, I made more time for myself,” Lindsey said with a shrug.
James nodded his head, “Yeah, I started to get back into working out.”
“I finished mine last week,” you offered, picking up your glass, “I read a new book every month.”
Aleks turned his head and blinked back at you with his brows furrowed slightly in confusion. “How the hell did you find time to do that?” he asked with an almost incredulous laugh. You shrugged a shoulder and smiled back at him as you took a sip of your drink. “In between dealing with your dumbass I like to take some quiet time by myself,” you teased, setting your glass down.
“What about you, Aleksandr?” James asked, “Did you complete your resolution?”
Suddenly, Aleks’ face seemed to fall and he looked a hair paler than usual. His eyes left your face instantly and he looked away, coughing lightly. “No… No, man. Just didn’t work out,” he murmured, reaching for his drink. You raised both of your brows at him and leaned slightly further forward, arms resting on the table in front of you.
“What was it?”
Aleks shook his head and took a rather large sip from his glass, “Nothing, don’t worry about it.”
You’d known Aleks long enough to know better than to try and press the issue any further so you only shook your head slightly and went back to your drink, allowing Aleks to have his space and drop the questions. Dinner continued along at a normal fashion, and despite attempting to argue, and even steal the check, Aleks paid for the both of you. On your way out the door, you did manage to convince him to let you pay for the Lyft back to his place.
At his place, while Aleks got things set up, you took both Mishka and Celia upstairs to the office area to keep them out of the way and cut down on the risk of them sneaking out as people came in and out of the house. It didn’t take long for everyone else to arrive and Aleks turned on the music as well as the New Year’s show on television to play on in the background. Drinks were passed around and while everyone was having a great time, you found yourself mostly by Aleks’ side.
He’d quickly become one of your best friends in the time that you’d known one another and you were more than thankful to have him in your life, even if he did drive you crazy more often than not. “Hey, Aleks,” you murmured, bumping into his side, “Why didn’t you want to talk about your resolution at dinner?”
He shrugged and took a draw from his beer, “It’s not a big deal… I just didn’t get around to it.”
“I know they’re, like, stupid or whatever… but it’s kind of fun to challenge yourself, y’know? Maybe you just picked a dumb one,” you grinned at him.
“Yeah… a real dumb one,” he replied with a shrug.
The television on the wall focused in on the ball and you could see that you were approaching the last moments of the year. You smiled and turned to face Aleks as the countdown began.
Eight.
“Fuck it,” Aleks murmured.
Six.
He reached for your shirt.
Four.
You hesitantly looked up at him. The swirls of emotion you saw there made you gasp softly. Lust and desire. However, before you could ponder about it further, he yanked you closer to him and covered your mouth with his in a hungry kiss. As your lips crushed together, it felt as though you were walking on air. It was magic, the way his lips connected with your own. His mouth was so warm, the caress of his lips softer than you could have imagined and you opened your mouth with a low moan.
Aleks slowly pulled away from the kiss and blinked back at you with a slight grin tugging at his lips. “Resolution completed,” he murmured. You almost didn’t hear him over the sound of everyone else in the house cheering and clapping their hands as the clock finally ticked over to midnight, but you didn’t really care. You ran your hands up his arms and looped them around his neck while his hands made their way to your waist.
He leaned in and your foreheads gently pressed against one another and the smirk on his face, well earned and slightly unsure, told you everything that you needed to know as you relaxed his his hold and allowed your eyes to flutter shut. “That was a pretty good resolution,” you chuckled softly, earning a soft kiss to the side of your mouth.
You playfully rolled your eyes at Abby before you turned your attention back to both Brett and Aleks. It was the last round of Mafia and, somehow, you had ended up being one of the members of the mafia for the third time since starting the game. Everyone else had either been killed by the mafia or by mistake and it was not just down to the three of you.
They had managed to kill James who was your partner in the mafia and you knew that Aleks or Brett had to be the investigator, so you needed to get one of them out as soon as possible. “I’m a civilian and I’m just trying to take back my town of La Bronx,” Brett said in his awful fake accent as he adjusted the chef’s hat on his head.
“Look, it has to be Samuel,” you said, pointing your prop gun at Aleks, “He killed Harris to get out from under his thumb and now he’s trying to take all the land Harris was after.”
Aleks raised both of his hands in exasperation, “It is not me… It is you.”
“Me? Okay, sure,” you scoffed and looked back at Brett, “C’mon, Meatball… if we get rid of Samuel we save La Bronx and we can spend all night at the club.”
For a moment, it appeared as though Brett was thinking everything through you were just a little worried that he would see through you lies and turn on you. But he quickly picked up his own prop gun and aimed it at Aleks. “Sorry, Samuel… no hard feelings,” he said, shrugging. The both of you quickly pulled your triggers and Aleks, very dramatically, flailed around in his chair until he was sufficiently dead.
“Well, with Samuel killed in cold blood it is obvious that Y/N was, in fact, a member of the Mafia and the civilians lose the game,” Abby said into the microphone from her seat.
James clapped both of his hands as you threw your arms up in triumph and laughed loudly. Brett, however, looked upset. “Why do you keep lying to me?” he fumed, “Three goddamn times you were the mafia and three goddamn times you either killed me or fucking lied to my face.”
You shrugged your shoulder and pointed your gun at Brett with a grin, “Sorry, meatball, that’s just how the games goes.”
