Kindertide // This piece, one of the largest I’ve ever made, hearkens back to a time when I spent most of my days fairly isolated in the woods. I remember finding the remains of some sort of juvenile canine near a mound of mushrooms and moss, and sat close to it for a while, peacefully. My dad told me that there was a new population of coyotes in the area, which was not a thing I had ever expected to hear. I imagined that maybe the animal I had seen was a coyote, which quickly became one of my favorite animals. . GRANNY, my solo exhibition at @hashimotocontemporary, will be going live online tomorrow! I’ll post a link in my bio. Until then, please direct any questions you might have to [email protected] 🐺🌿🍄🍂 . . . #coyote #coyoteskeleton #coyoteskull #animals #animalart #bones #skeleton #nature #natureart #crochet #fibersculpture #textileart #caitlinmccormack #hashimotocontemporary #newcontemporaryart (at San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3aP3enH7IZ/?igshid=1p94vnt52imwt
