🕯️⛅Warm Ghostkin Moodboard ⛅🕯️

i've realized recently that i'm probably ghostkin! so i really wanted to make a moodboard based on where i haunt!

and a huge thank you to my friend @june-bug-jive for the inspiration!!! not only for this board but also for helping me realize i'm ghost!

I had so much fun making this little guy for a friends birthday. When we worked together we would intimadate each other red panda style just to make the day a little more fun.

The icing on the cake for me is the crochet border, Its just going to look so cute hanging on her wall!

When you're ghostkin but the ghostkin tag feels foreign because you haunt places like this...

I saw this pattern and I couldn't resist making it for myself. Only this time I didn't want another piece to hang on the wall.

So I went to Walmart, got a hoodie, ordered some waste fabric and learned something new!

Stitching in a knit was a new and interesting challenge. I had to work with shorter lengths of thread just to prevent it from ripping apart on me. The biggest thing I would do differently would be using a backing fabric.

Overall I'm super happy with how it turned out and I honestly can't stop wearing it.

I haunt this house for I have unfinished business...

The unfinished business is my crochet projects and also I have not tasted every kind of tea just yet.

I haunt the daylight

I haunt the spaces between the stitches in your crochet

I float through the sunbeams through the kitchen blinds And linger in the scent of hot pastries Still cooling as you leave for work

I am the ghost who warms your couch cushions

And takes naps on the daybed at twelve in the afternoon

Your cat is friends with me and knows me by name

But my afterlife in this house is unnoticed by you

For my existence is soft and gentle

I see a lot of ghosties with such an uncertain sense of self.

And it feels strange to me because I, only a few days ago, realized I'm a ghost. And yet in that realization many things about who I am and why my soul is haunting times I never saw ... all made sense.

I don't see being a ghost as sad, or lonely, or uncertain... it's freeing.

I hope someday all the other ghosties learn why they haunt the places they do.
