Headcanons: Rob Lucci – Reaction to F! S/O announcing her pregnancy

🐆Lucci wasn’t exactly the most forthcoming, warm or sociable individual which surprised many when he had actually found himself in a stable relationship with {Name}. Someone he found himself attracted to, whether it was her strength, her ability to challenge him in battle of wits, he found himself infatuated with her and that led to the most recent development.

🐆 {Name} had wanted to have a private discussion with him, something about having a bit of very serious news. Since Lucci knew her well enough, that it wouldn’t just be any reason to initiate such a serious conversation over nothing and that is when she had told him about being pregnant.

🐆 He listened intently to the news and felt stunned, not exactly forming any coherent thoughts at the present moment…It was the last thing he expected, never did Lucci expect to have a partner and now the potential of being a father. There is concern considering the dangers that come with them being a part of CP-0. Aside from the imminent worry and shock of the sudden news – he secretly felt happy about the prospect of being a parent.

🐆 His reaction was initially a bout of silence, while he is lost in thought. Trying to process the information in a rational way, when he eventually spoke, first he confirmed if {Name} was sure, the question may have seemed cold or out of place but for him – it was a help to organise his thoughts. He expressed both happiness in his own way but also the concerns he had. Mostly questioning if he had the capacity to be a parent.

🐆 After organizing his thoughts and filtering the concerns he had and speaking through things with {Name} he actually felt assured by her and found himself being glad about the news.

🐆 Inexperience and caution plays a big part in how he acts around {Name} especially since the announcement, he became a lot more domineering in controlling what missions {Name} accompanied him on, if any at all.

🐆 Lucci became very attentive with {Name} and was always concerned about her wellbeing, as well as doting. He had the tendency to be a bit overbearing when it came to certain things, but he truly was doing it out of care for her.

🐆He still has his fair share of insecurity at the thought of being a parent, but understands it may very well be the same for {Name} and chooses to keep it to himself as to not cause her any stress or misunderstanding by making her think he wasn’t looking forward to being a parent.

🐆Catches himself quite often having thoughts of what kind of person his child will be and gets excited when discussing names with his partner.

CP-9 knowingly and purposely exploiting Robin's trauma--trauma that the previous generation of CP-9 played a major role in--just makes me so damn mad. You do not use someone's trauma to manipulate them into anything. Period.

Just goes to remind us that despite them being cool and/or dorky and likeable except Blueno who didn't really get much opportunity to be either before Luffy knocked him out, they are still the bad guys who work under the world government, I guess...
