Shoku is just about as kind as anyone would expect, although he does have a distaste for those who aren't kind back. He's used to defending his brother from bullying and does the same with his club mates and friends when it comes to bullies.

He often got into fights up to middle school because of his attempts to defend his brother. As of now, in high school, he wants to be as gentlemanly as possible. Additionally, he wants to be more like his father, who was admired for his patience and talent.

As it turns out, getting into fights when he was younger caused him to sacrifice a lot. His brother wanted to be around him less to prevent him from getting into trouble, and he didn't have a good enough reputation to get into a nicer high school.

He hopes that he's able to improve and has decided to use his time at Akademi as a stepping stone to do that.
