Emily *from across the room*: I would be fine living with no legs.

Penelope: How about no arms? No arms or legs is basically how you exist right now, Emily. You don’t do anything.

Derek: All right, focus, let’s get back to it. You’re losing him. *Penelope pumps frantically* Okay, too fast. You need to pump at a pace of a 100 beats per minute.

Penelope: Okay, how am I supposed to keep track of that. How many is that per hour?

JJ *from her spot next to Emily*: Pen, how’s that gonna help you?

Penelope: I can divide and then count to it.

JJ: Right.

Derek: Okay. Well, a good trick is to pump to the tune of ‘Staying Alive’ by the Bee Gees. Do you know that song?

Penelope: Oh, yes, I love that song! *clears throat, begins to sing* First I was afraid, I was petrified.

Derek: That’s not- no, you know what? Forget it. I’m just going to mark down that you did it.

✨8/12/2020, Week 4 of the 2020 Summer Studying Challenge✨

✨August 12th✨ What is an unpopular opinion that you have about summer?:

To start, summer is my least favorite season. I just get really flushed in the summer time and that’s a massive insecurity of mine! I tan well, but I hate going through the process of being pink on the beach because I’m overheated- not sunburnt, just flushed. Beaches are always overcrowded and sand is just not great. I don’t like to show a lot of skin, so I wear jeans and end up hating myself because I overheat, however, if I wear shorts, I’m selfconscious the entire day. Summer is just a lose-lose for me. Getting a little tan and swimming are the only redeemable qualities.

Sidenote: I slept like garbage last night because I’ve been so nervous about this CPR hands on portion of the course today. I just don’t want to mess up and this is my first experience learning CPR and they were quite thorough in the presentation. I’m certain that I’m just over anxious, but I can’t help but be nervous. Fingers crossed it’s way more painless than my anxiety riddled brain is trying to conjure up.
