Pfft can we appreciate how both people asked the exact same thing.
Purple: 10 facts about my room.
1. Every time I go to someone's house who has a cool room I get these urges to redecorate my room in a cool way. I have some big prints I bought from cons that I think it might be cool to hang on the walls, and I always want to, I don't know, make it look classier somehow. It's like how whenever I see someone with a really cool fashion sense I think "I'm going to dress in a specific really cool style!" and then that never happens. Neither does organizing my room. I'm just not a stylish person.
2. I have two bookshelves in my room. They're roughly organized by category. The top shelf on the bookshelf on the left is dedicated to amazing fantasy series (I used to read mostly fantasy when I organized this. now I don't really but whatever) and the shelf under that is dedicated to... less amazing fantasy I guess? Realistic fiction goes on the two shelves underneath. Books by the same author are together, even if the authors aren't organized in any order. Books I like less are on the bookshelf on the right.
3. My dresser is always a mess. Always. There are no exceptions to this rule. But the floor is almost always clean.
4. I have absolutely no idea where I keep my socks. I don't even think it's in my room. But I almost never wear socks anyway, so that's okay.
5. I have a painting hanging above my dresser from some guy who claims to be the world's fastest artist and was at my cousin's bar mitzvah. I don't know if he actually is or not, but he did this awesome painting of pyramids on another planet or something and I answered his trivia question correctly so I won it.
6. I have an entire basket of stuffed animals at the foot of my bed that only pertain to Lilo & Stitch. All my other plushies are in another room but for some reason my Lilo & Stitch ones are in here. I am relatively certain I have something close to every Lilo & Stitch plushie ever made.
7. I also keep a whale pillow pet on the edge of my bed. I don't sleep with it, I just like to keep it there. Actually I think it's technically a dolphin, but my friend bought it for me for my birthday and told me it was a whale, so we just always keep it in pillow form and pretend it is one because honestly whales are cooler and it's cuter when it's fat and not all tied up anyway.
8. There's a painting above my pillow painted directly onto the wall of Peter Rabbit in a garden. It came with the house and we never painted over it. I'm not sure why but it's cool.
9. The lightswitch in my room has one of those things on it so that small children can reach a lightswitch when they're too short to do so. It's shaped like a moon. It was there from when I was actually too short to reach the lightswitch and we just never took it down because in our family yep if you put something up like that laziness indicates that it will stay there for over ten years.
10. I have a Pooh rug on the floor of some kind of rug-comic where he tries to eat honey and then gets stuck in the pot. When I was a kid I loved it but recently I have realized he could asphyxiate in there and that it's kind of a morbid subject for a rug. Like how that Pooh episode where he eats too much honey and gets stuck in Rabbit's house hole thing is adorable in theory, but then to get him to fit out they STARVE HIM. LET'S TEACH SMALL CHILDREN TO STARVE THEMSELVES IF THEY'RE TOO FAT IT'S A GREAT IDEA. |: Needless to say, I used to be obsessed with Pooh. I had Pooh sheets as a kid.
ORANGE SIX FACTS ABOUT MY HOMETOWN
lol what is there to say about my hometown
1. I once met a woman in the Paris airport who was also American and coincidentally her daughter had married a man from my hometown. He was awful to his wife and now this mother's impression is that everyone from my town is an asshole. She was like "Oh, you're one of THOSE people. MY daughter married a Main Line asshole" and it was kind of awkward actually.
2. My school, which is in my town, was mentioned briefly in Catcher in the Rye. Not really in a good light. Aheh.
3. Its name is Welsh for Big Hill. It is also Welsh, which means that no one can spell it. It is also two words, meaning that people get confused who don't know the town why I'm giving them two names instead of one.
4. The college of the same name, which is in my town, is much more well-known than my town.
5. Usually I just tell people I'm from Philadelphia because they know where that is and it's close.
6. I have lived here my entire life and have never moved.
Grey: Two Facts About My Favorite Things Why Am I Capitalizing This
.......I suppose I'd seem infinitely shallow if I listed food as one of my two favorite things so let's not but it really is
1. Musicals. Are. Fantastic. I will generally attest that Stephen Sondheim is the most genius person who ever is. My favorite musical is Sweeney Todd, which is funny because all my other favorites are comedy. Book of Mormon, man <33 And and The Producers and The Frogs and Young Frankenstein and Forum and BBAJ and Company and I could go on all dayyy.
2. For some reason I am fiercely dedicated to cosplay like I am nothing else. Some people will endure pain for fashion, and I would never do that, but I will endure pain for cosplay. I will wear a wig cap all day that makes my head kill for days afterwards and I will survive off of basically no food for a weekend because a con doesn't have vegetarian food (If you don't know me, this is the true sign of my dedication. See the note before number one. If I'm willing to go without food for something, I must love it to bits.) I'm actually incredibly lazy about making costumes but actually wearing them and getting to say I'm dressed as America or the Once-ler or anything it's just perfect <3
