We have planned out the rest of our years craft plans. I drew this up for my journal but i also thought it would be a good idea to share this on here too.

For those who struggle to see, it says that each project starts on the 18th of each month. In order

-May-June is everything green (all projects must be green)

-June-July is thrift only. All supplies possible must only be found during thrift hunting means (such as charity stores, facebook market place, dollar trees etc)

-July to August is finish it or else month. You finish all wips you have before you start anything new. If you don’t finish it, you get rid of it.

-August- September is Monochrome plus one. This means everything must be black/grey/white with ONE colour only per project.

-September to October is a ban on all craft purchases beyond anything needed for a commission. This is destash month.

-October-November is Halloween. All makes must be within the spooky remit.

- November to December is making everything for the holidays.

There are exclusions to the themes, and this means we can break the theme for commissions and gift making. Beyond that, all projects will be within the themes

If anyone wants to take part along side us, we would love you all to. You can take part with any craft or art style you choose, and you can do as many or little projects as you want. Please feel free to tag us in posts so we can reblog all your posts.

Stitchtember day 11: Slice of cake

Hey there. Wade came up with a little game he likes to call Knitpool Roulette. If you want to play, give me three numbers. One roll of a 10-sided die, one roll of a 20-sided die, and one roll of a 6-sided die.  I have ten comic books! Your rolls will tell me which book, which page, and which panel. Then you have to knit, crochet, sculpt, sew, whatever, something or someone from that panel! (If there are fewer than four panels, it will be the last one.)

This will challenge us to go out of our comfort zone and be creative! Sort of like those writing challenges. Consider it a “crafting prompt!” I was thinking about a deadline. We need a little pressure, but it’s pretty busy for everyone these days, so how about April 15. Tax day! (But even the IRS gives extensions, so we’ll see.)

I will post participants’ progress and final projects on this blog. Additionally, participating and finishing will give you a chance at a give-away prize. I am thinking a Nano-figure or your choice.

So, send me the numbers, and I will see what panel you get. I will post it on my blog and tag you. The comic books are a variety of Deadpool (of course) but also books that feature other Marvel characters like the Wolverines, the Champions, the Invaders, Gwenpool, etc.

Whoa! So New and unexpected? A Craft Challenge!

Alfonso the Alpaca

Alfonso is an honest gentleman Like a laniferous friend or brother Protective of his flock and genuine Affectionate to his own and others Curious and cheerful hums escape him Aye, we wouldn’t swap him for another

I created Alfonso as part of Struthless's Alphabet Superset, a challenge where you create one thing every week based on a letter of the alphabet. The idea is to have a set theme so that you don't overthink things and to post something every week instead of worrying if you're good enough.

My medium is needle-felting, and I am going to make one tiny felted animal every week. My theme is nostalgia and comfort, because the alphabet nature of the challenge reminded me of car trips as a child and coming up with animals for each letter of the alphabet. I want to explore a kind of creativity that's gentle on myself for a change.

I'm also VERY new at needle-felting! Alfonso is my 7th little creature if you don't count my previous attempt at an alpaca, which I had to abandon halfway through because I used orange wool and he looked like a giraffe.

In trying to decide on what to make for this month’s craft challenge, I started rummaging around in my paper scraps.  A friend had asked me how I store my planner clips, and I had recently seen some pretty flipbooks… so I decided to make my first one as a planner clip holder.  And I think it turned out pretty well.
