2 years running and I still underestimate distances.
Thought I'd planned 7 miles, ended up with 7.88! Ow. What heatwave?
I actually shocked a bicyclist. He'd stopped to stretch as I passed, and I heard through my earphones, "How can you run! It's 81 degrees!" I said through breaths as best I could, "I'll regret it in a few miles!" In fact, I think I was the only runner on the trail! #crazyrunner
The only thing I regretted was going shirtless. I'm an insane sweat-producing beast when I run - I make my own Bodyglide! lol - and I usually use my shirt to wipe the sweat from my eyes. Today, I was like, "Fuck it, it's too hot," and it hurt. I'm so glad Dad bikes two laps whenever I run so I can use the sleeves of his shirt to wipe off my eyes the two times we pass each other lol I'm sure it looks silly to passersby, but I hate having to carry more than my cell phone when I run. Maybe I'll hold a small face towel next time, idk. I tried a wristband, but I sweat right through it and it's useless! Besides, I worry about the weird tan line.
That's the one thing I like about running in the autumn and winter: I don't sweat as much to blind myself when I run!
