Part of the way a human being creates the life they want is to imagine it and then believe it can happen.

If you've been abused, your ability to imagine and your ability to believe have been damaged, sometimes it seems they've even been obliterated. Those abilities aren't actually obliterated or permanently damaged, but you need to learn how to use them, so today practice using them a little bit. Imagine the life you want for yourself and then practice believing it can happen. It's okay if you don't totally succeed at this. The point is actually not to succeed but just to practice it. If you want, write about it here and reblog it!

I envision a life for myself where I am completely healed from my back injury last January and can stand up for a 1/2 hour straight and can leave the house again to do things like go shopping and out to eat. I believe this is possible.
