I hope someone makes a music video thing of the JB reunion 3.0 with show version of Hands of Gold and the footage is Jaime leaving KL and in that last part where they falter and stop singing the last word, Jaime and Brienne see each other.

When the crowd finally parted, Minion gave a whoop and accelerated into invisibility mode as quickly as the car would allow. Roxanne's little shriek sent Megamind into a spiral of cackles. Scary, unsettled loose ends could wait till the end of the road. The Westward planes of Metro City were gilded gold.

I wrote this September 2018 and, at the time, titled it simply “chapter 1.” It plants some magic little symbolism beans that would grow into... “chapter 2,” I guess. Renamed it to add intrigue, and because it’s been too long to be subtle.

She walked into the lair the usual way, stumbling, her bag held in front of her chest with both hands. Cars droned behind her, and in front of her the lair pulsated, an electric dungeon. There wasn't any blood on her shoes. No.

Heat from inside pressed against him in waves, and the smell of old ashes and burnt chemicals soaked the air. Megamind wasn't entirely sure he was in the right house until he cast his light up at the photos on the wall.

When I wrote this in December 2017, I was really feeling that “oh cool, I found where my alien parents live, but where the heck are they, and why is their house so creepy?” vibe. The original typo in the title was an accident, but I kept it on purpose.

Vixx is a Warlock who made a deal with a vile patron to free himself from the constraints of a life, and it was made so.

Vixx is a Changeling, with no recollection of his core identity. Now he wanders the world changing his name and face to make by, searching for any hint of the life he gave up.
