some updates- creative endeavors

hey all, thought I might give some updates on some things. real life, and in particular, work, have been incredibly draining recently. I'm having a hard time coming back to creative things after work and that sucks a whole lot 😫 so. let's do this.

ONE. TEG 300k hits celebration: free mini print giveaway

I have all the art from the artists now. there will be 4 prints, one of which will be foil. the next step is for me to reach out to the printing company, order, get the proofs, and then make all the stuff for the sign up (announcements, sign up sheet, etc). I do not have a timeline for this. I really just gotta sit down and do it. but it will happen

side note: I may do a smaller run than originally anticipated due to increased costs of both prints and stamps. instead of restricting to just the USA (which would make shipping cost way less), I will restrict the number of spots. the good news is, if a lot of people miss out and show interest, I can always do another run later. but the initial run may be just 35 spots.

TWO. Big Bang 2025 fic

I've alluded to my big bang fic this year in several places, but I regret to inform you that I dropped out of the project. I didn't think I could finish in time and didn't want me or my artist to be banned from participating next year. my artist partner has been incredibly supportive and kind about it, and I am beyond grateful 🙏 the mod was also very kind. be sure to check out the big bang stuff when it comes out :)

dropping this project really got me down. I have so much stuff done for this fic, about 33,000 words and hundreds of pages of world building, but it's not enough to finish before the due date. I'm so excited to show you all the world building and reinterpretations of characters, but I am struggling a lot with the plot. I do not have a timeline for this fic. I am putting it aside until I can figure out the things that are keeping me from finishing [projected end word count: 200,000]

THREE. assorted/other: scattered thoughts on things that may or may not occur

THREE POINT ONE. more Murderbot x TF fic! the lil ficlet thing I put up a bit ago seemed to delight people. I've been thinking about the premise of it and slowly developing the most self indulgent thing possible for a full length story. by 'self indulgent,' I mean, what if I threw in links to my other fics in this already crossed over thing, just because I can, I want to, and no one will stop me???????? what then??!!!! ...that got a little aggressive but that's the kind of energy that I need to carry me into 2026. TEG was so self indulgent and people liked it, so maybe they'd like this, too. [also it would maybe possibly have TEG SW & Rodimus in it] [and IT CHOSE YOU Skywarp]

THREE POINT TWO. I swear there was something else I was gonna say here. what was it? hmm. I don't remember. so I guess what I'll say instead is: life is tiring and draining for a lot of people. if someone creates something you really love, be sure to tell them! literally nothing makes my day at work better than sneaking peeks at my email and seeing I have a comment or a nice message. spread the love where you can :)
