Greetings to Tumblr Users Out There! 🤗
Hello, everybody! My name is Gabby and I am from Indonesia. The reason why I decided to create a tumblr account is because I want to enjoy the fun and join the community of anime junkies, artists/illustrators/designers alike, and basically consume the usual multi-fandom stuffs that I am exposed to everyday. I read Japanese manga, Chinese manhua, and Korean manhwa; watch Chinese donghua, the hearth-wrenching yet addicting Chinese danmei, and (last but not least) Japanese anime. I think it would go without saying that I would fangirl non-stop in the end when I am obsessed in some particular works that I really love. Everyone obviously does that. Sounds like a normal weeb, am i right? Oh, other than those multi-fandom stuffs, I am really into Arts, Literary Works and Movies. One obvious reason why I am into artsy stuffs is because I have a strong and huge interests in wanting to learn about Art. Not only to study them, e.g. Art History, but to actually develop the artistic skills. Who knows? Maybe in the future I could really produce some art works that I can be proud of. Like what a normal weeb does, s/he would definitely enjoy devouring chapters and volumes of mangas that they follow, right? So, having the experience to read manga ever since I was in the elemntary school, I have developed this obsessions in manga itself. I dream of becoming a comic artist (mangaka) ever since I was obsessed with mangas since I was young. So that is probably why I am really into Popular Culture product. I am also a nerd by the way. I love reading novels that could drive my imagination wild with their plots. I mean, who doesn't love the fact that you are able to project moving pictures of the some scenes or chapters that you have just read from a novel into your head? That is cool and fun! No one could deny that! As for movies, I guess many people could easily understand why movies are one of the most demanding form of entertainment that we can get and find these days and back in the old days as well, right? I could learn how to speak and understand English (as a second language in my case) from watching many movies. At first I would turn on the Indonesian subtitle when I watch movies, but then after sometime I would switch it to the English one and from there I could learn the English language after getting used to listening to what people say and try to match the dialogue with the available English subtitle. So, yeah... All thanks to the Popular Culture products that I have come across and consumed all these years up until now I could have such an opportunity to dive into the deep and vast universe of multi fandoms in which I am sure I will enjoy my stay for as long as I wish for. I guess that is enough introduction from me.
