you ever think about the creativitwin dynamic as it was introduced in Remus' debut? Like, how in order for Remus to have his moment in the spotlight, he had to knock Roman out first?
Roman wasn't even aware of Remus' tamperings the night prior, he practically had to beg to be in the loop about why everyone was so moody at the start of that video. I always assumed he was either busy at the time, or more likely that he was just asleep in the mind palace (subconscious) while Remus was being an active terror that night.
The first time we see them both fully awake and side-by-side is right after Roman wakes up at the end, and from that point forward they're allowed to be on screen at the same time without one of them being dormant or hidden.
This may be a bit of a stretch, but it was almost like there was only ever ONE slot open to accommodate a "single" creativity at a time before Thomas was made aware of Remus' existence. Maybe that was the first time in the longest that Thomas fully "allowed" both of them to even be awake at the same time.
There's already a LOT of angst potential in there being a sleeping beauty-esque quality to the role of creativity where only one twin can be awake/totally aware at a time with very little overlap. I can picture one twin sitting by the other as they doze, lamenting that they can never truly collaborate or even speak to each other properly because they have to take turns being awake.
I picture them only ever being able to communicate through letters to one another that they dicover when they're awake + Remus moving stuff around in Roman's room and/or the imagination…..
But I also think of Janus
There's a possibility that when Virgil left, Janus was well and truly alone.
He might not have even fully had Remus as a real companion after that, since Roman was likely awake and burning the candle at both ends all the time, considering that he canonically has a horrible/turbulent sleeping schedule.
I imagine Janus longing for Virgil's return and only ever having the company of someone who was unconscious more often than not, stuck in a magical sort of fairytale slumber that he would only ever stir from occasionally, and how lonely that must have been…
anyway yeah i hurt my own feelings thinking about it lmao, had to share with the class
