I don’t like Unicorn of War

To not be confused with the spanish animated film Unicorn Wars. But yeah I’m talking about the most prevalent Winx Club youtuber with the red pfp and banners. I used to watch their content on Winx and agree with their takes but now I really don’t like their attitude towards the series which has affected the fandom in a bad way.

If you don’t want to read an essay, here’s a quick summary: nostalgia blindness, forcing lgbtq in off topic videos as either jokes or for the sake of it (ik they’re queer, I’m queer too), their takes on Nabu’s death without being his represented ethnicity (I am), Riven slander which has made the fandom think he’s an abusive bf and Musa did nothing wrong, and milking the recent reboot’s release and controversy (40-50 minute long videos on something which barely came out)

The first thing I don’t like is their nostalgia blindness. They glaze the golden era of Winx and especially season 3, I also like it but the middle to end of season 3 is genuinely so mid. Valtor doesn’t do anything interesting, the Musa and Riven drama sucks ass, there’s an episode about DIGIT being small??? I’m not denying that the golden era of Winx was the best one, but to go on about the flaws of season 4-8 while holding seasons 1-3 (the seasons with someone stalking Musa, Diaspro getting cheated on and forever blamed for it, lobotomizing Riven’s character arc in season 1, Bloom and the Ancestral Witches timeline confusion, etc) to a much higher standard is weird and kind of disingenuous.

The second reason is what I’ll call “rep parading”. I know they are non binary and part of the lgbtq community, and it makes sense they’d want more representation in their favorite show, that is not an issue. The issue however is they love to ramble on and on about how the characters are or should be gay with no rhyme or reason. And it’s multiple times too. Musa and Tecna stand next to each other? Gay! Nex and Roy butt heads over Aisha but still remain civil? Gay! Bloom’s two moms talking for the first or second time? Gay! Over and over and over they keep saying that in commentary videos which just muddies their opinions and it comes across like they want more rep for the sake of it and not for the actual purpose of representation; to normalize previously assumed bad things despite gays, transgenders, pocs, etc existing without bothering anyone. And what’s even the point of including these statements/jokes? If it’s a joke it’s overused and unfunny, if it’s not then they’re shoving their own ideas onto a show they claim to love when they dreaded reviewing later seasons.

Speaking of representation, Nabu represents me, so tell me how it’s racist that Nabu died? His death was more than just killing off a character and moving on, it was immensely impactful to the other characters. We see Aisha and Riven especially be crushed by it and Aisha has lingering trauma over it. Why? Because it’s part of a thing called PLOT. But yeah let’s ignore that because all they see is color. Let’s also ignore that season 3 never featured Helia, the only asian Specialist, until they needed him to tell Riven about Musa “cheating”. But that never gets brought up because season 3 is that good and Helia isn’t tan or dark skinned. Yes I know that’s a stretch but if we’re accusing RAI of being racist about a heroic sacrifice that served the story, I’ll use the same logic here. And yes RAI did whitewash Flora and Aisha which is bad, but that has concept evidence of RAI being racist. Nabu’s death doesn’t.

Another reason is their treatment of Riven. This genuinely pisses me off and has done a massive amount of damage to the fandom’s perception. There’s an ongoing misunderstanding of Riven being abusive/toxic to Musa and her being the victim, and Thomas even excuses her rebounding on her MANAGER, wanting to breach a WORK relationship, because “Riven has been treating her so badly anyone would be better.” BITCH ALL RIVEN DID BY THAT POINT WAS BE SUPPORTIVE AND THEN SAY ONE SHITTY THING! The reality is he doesn’t know how to be a boyfriend but tries his best and Musa whines about it, distrusting him even after he saved her life from Darkar and proved his loyalty which made them get back together. She still wanted to have a relationship with her MANAGER after they broke up. And then she takes him back after he says he doesn’t expect her to like him back at the end of season 4. The blame is ALWAYS put on Riven, Musa gets away with not communicating and sending mixed signals by kissing Andy. And they just ignore that part. Fuck you Thomas.

And lastly, they’re milking the reboot situation. Now, making multiple videos on the reboot isn’t inherently bad, there’s a lot to cover as episodes are freshly coming out. But making them almost an hour long?? Jesus Christ how much do you have to yap for? In comparison to the commentary they made on season 5 and 6, those range from 20-30 minutes and cover two episodes per video. However here we’re talking five 40 minute videos on the reboot which barely came out, and their most recent is about how the reboot creators are “crashing out”. Yeah sorry but if you’re the one ranting for nearly an hour multiple times about your show getting rebooted then you’re crashing out more than the staff.

Here’s a short lightning round for other reasons: Making jokes about Bloom dying, insisting Aisha and Musa struggle more because their poc when Bloom’s home planet was genocided and Stella’s dad almost jailed/killed his daughter, disregarding Obscurum being canonically gay/bi because “it’s the bare minimum”, being fed up with Winx but milking it for content, and allegedly (I cannot confirm this since I stopped watching them), using the reboot videos to make money for their failed book. If that is true then the passion really did die out.

In short, the more you actually think about their content, the more the bad sticks out and how artificial their want for diversity is. And ik I don’t have to rant about them, but considering they’re so big and as an ex viewer I only went off by what they were saying instead of forming my own opinion, I think they should be looked at more critically. So yeah even if unicorns look majestic, they can be pricks.

Mouthwashing fans can we all just fucking stop already

Sending porn, PORN to a mouthwashing creator is absolutely diabolical.

What ever happed to “hello” anymore. This creator has genuinely done nothing wrong besides the occasional suggestive curly image here or there. With a slash of JimCurly posts in their story. But actual content its all just edits and silly memes of Moutwashing that they find.

Theres nothing this creator has done to deserve this. Especially from minors of all people. Absolutely diabolical. Fucking mental. Most of all, uncalled for.

Lets fucking stop with the unnecessary porn, death threats, ship wars, lets just fucking stop. Because we're supposed to have each others backs here. We shouldn't be doing this, as fans, to other fans. Its a war on itself at this point.

You can like characters that are morally evil son of a bitches, you can like morally grey characters, you can ship whoever with whoever (just prepare for the backlash when you pro ship or ship abuser x abused. You're sick if you do either of those), you can make art of any of these characters, hell you can make nsfw art if you want who cares. But when you force things onto others, when your arguing over “whats right” in your opinion its just stupid and not worth it.

Im tired of seeing people get harassed, its bad enough we had raids on our servers and tags. Whether they happened or not, its the fact that someone even suggested doing such horrible things to a group of people for just simply liking a game.

I feel like dumping lore on Boing Sans sense he uhh.. he just exists according to the public so rant under cut

Boing isn’t necessarily linearly one identity, Boing is actually a virus inhabiting a Sans much like Fresh but also kinda like those zombie fungi in ants, taking over the body while the host is forced to watch, and it isn’t just one host, it’s multiple at once, Boing just uses Sans as the imaginary, but they controls, Undyne, Asgore, Mettaton, and etc all the same, the only one not fully controlled in the au is Papyrus because Boing knows it brings Sans torture seeing his brother alone, scared and confused half infected but still his own.

Also… if you couldn’t tell Boing is absolutely transcoded, reason being the actual Boing virus identifies as a girl but is a girl in a male host body mainly but she’s a virus so like genderless actually.

Also Boing thinks She’s a girl named “Amalia” who’s a hacker girl who actually likes all the pink gamer cat things, Amalia was the one who implanted Boing into the internet in the first place because she was bored, knowing damn well it thought it was her,

Boing has different stages of being well virus shown, when the virus is least visible is how I normally draw it, as Boing!Sans, in the host body, taking on the appearance of a Sans to interact and fuck with other AUs, the 2nd form is half and half, the virus seeping through like in the drawing I made with the giant gaping hole in Sans’ head with a hand coming out. But except I recently redesigned it to have demon horns, a bigger eye in the hole, a Cheshire grin, and black bones. The 3rd form is the docile virus form with a boing being in the outside a host form to scare people, she took a lot of inspiration from the roaring knight and papyrus, you’ll see at some point, the 4th is when they’re a mass of glitches eyes and claws, completely abstract, how they looked before settling on a form and host.

Content creator rant

This, as someone who currently writes just in their spare time and currently not make money off of their writing these kind of comments hurt. I get it, you liked the story. And I probably should of put epilogue on that last chapter.

But even then, people don’t seem to understand.

Or even if a story is discontinued comments like these won’t make us pick it back up. All of these comments have come from Wattpad. For the most part people on here don’t make comments like these on my posts. But as a creator it’s discouraging. As I said I get it, you loved the story. But if it’s finished, then it’s finished and if it discontinued then odds are it was discontinued for a reason.

As a writer it sucks, cause some of the works that I have loved writing haven’t gotten the love that I have given them. And some of the ones I hated writing get lots of attention.

I’m not saying don’t leave comments, in fact please leave comments. Tell the author or creator what you love about their content. But update, update please, isn’t it. We’re doing what we’re doing because we enjoy it, and when the only thing you get is being demanded to update its disheartening.
