Creation of the Beasts
God made the different kinds of wild animals and the different kinds of farm animals. He made all the different kinds of animals that move along the ground. God looked at what he had made. He saw that it was good. — Genesis 1:25 | EasyEnglish Bible (EASY) EasyEnglish Bible Copyright © MissionAssist 2019 - Charitable Incorporated Organisation 1162807. All rights reserved. GOSH OK WELL HELLO EVERYBODY HOW ARE YOU DOING I DON’T THINK I’VE WRITTEN A PROPER UPDATE IN AN ENTIRE MONTH WHERE THE HECK DID JULY GO ???? WHAT DID I EVEN DO THAT WHOLE TIME oh wait I remember so I will tell you
some Things I did in July, in no particular order:
painted my nails some more (pictures below)
celebrated July 4th by drinking Clearly Canadian and lighting too many sparklers to count with my bestie @raspberryxhearts
watched Stranger Things season 3 and sobbed
renewed my driver’s license
road-tripped with @woppy42 to visit @the-majestic-cheese-turtle for a week! it was lovely!!! there were cats! and apples to apples! and cooking! and FRIENDS 💜💜💜
consumed half a cup of green tea, had super wonky heartbeat and difficulty breathing and I-might-pass-out for 6 hours, went to the ER and found out basically I can’t have any more caffeine until further notice and I am VERY SAD ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO DRINK EARL GREY
(when I say ‘any’ caffeine, I mean any more than the latent amount that is found in chocolate. apparently that is still fine, but I’m limiting myself to a maximum of one hot cocoa per day. friendship ended with green tea, now hot chocolate is my best friend)
watched season 2 of She-Ra and I am PUMPED for season 3 tomorrow let me TELL you
CAUGHT A COOL FAT BUG (and released him outside)
reconnected with two wonderful friends who I have missed very much, I’m so glad I didn’t listen to my anxiety
went to a bar/grill with my brother and watched a cover band play through half of TMBG’s album Flood. I am sad they didn’t do the full album (and that they didn’t consider Someone Keeps Moving My Chair a worthy hit? rude??), but it was really, almost surprisingly, fun. they brought in a violinist for Istanbul and she was WILD
got @princelogical into They Might Be Giants. a personal accomplishment
got @dorks-in-fiction into Brian David Gilbert. a personal accomplishment
had a video call with a fellow TMBG fan and talked for an hour about John Linnell’s specific pattern of syncopation, and dissected melodic shapes he frequently uses in his music. it was extremely nerdy and revitalized my soul
bit the bullet and got a nice pair of noise-cancelling headphones for a price that was a little over my budget but, so far, worth the money!! sensory overload whom?? also they have bluetooth capability and THEY AUTO-PAUSE WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF YOUR HEAD WHAT (not the reason I got them but still very cool!)
I’ve listened to a lot of enjoyable music this last month! have a playlist:
Alice Merton | No Roots
nelward | Apple Shampoo
Andrew Huang | Never Back Down
Tennis Elbow | Why Would I Want That?
Chaka Khan | Like Sugar
Pogo | Bambino
Pomplamoose | Something About Us (Daft Punk cover)
WDR Big Band (feat. KNOWER) | Gotta Be Another Way (feat. Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi)
Norrbotten Big Band and KNOWER | Let Go
Snarky Puppy (feat. KNOWER and Jeff Coffin) | I Remember
half-alive | ok ok?
as promised, some nail pictures:
and Big Beetle Boy is below the cut, for interested parties!!
Dat lizard doh
