Okay, now's the time to do it; So we're going to be talking about "Human Killers".
Human Killers are humans who snapped and chose to kill and at some point, they murdered a figure in their life (This could be a parent, bully, friend, etc- someone in their life) and are given an opportunity to become serial killers. Now, of course, I bet you're wondering; Well what makes them different from typical serial killers? And even Proxies? And to that, I say; Human Killers in the Creepypasta World essentially offer a piece of themselves to the Operator and are given certain perks.
If you remember from my pecking order post (You can read about it here: https://www.tumblr.com/crepey-pastries/784668599030890496/drudges?source=share ),
- you noticed I put them almost side to side with Supernatural killers. However, if we were to rank them at levels, Human Killers are Third Tier while Supernatural Killers are Second Tier and that's because while they offer something to the Operator they're ultimately NOT important to it. It already has its Proxies, it doesn't need Human Killers, but Human Killers are Grunts, they take on small jobs, and the more they kill, the more it 'feeds' the Operator. They pick up the scraps for Proxies, and if a Supernatural Killer won't do the mission assigned to it, it goes to them. Human Killers are sort of disposable props.
The Perks to offering a piece of themselves to the Operator are small but pretty beneficial, with three of them being:
They have increased durability.
Their crimes are sort of erased so they can escape without a trace.
They have what is called a "Glamour"
Well, this sort of ties to an old Quotev Quiz I remember doing, but Glamour is what makes their appearance so grotesque, it's essentially a cloaking ability Human Killers have that helps make them hide their identity. It works for intimidation and makes it easier for the killers to sort of kill and frighten people whilst in their off time they have their true appearance. Sort of like a work uniform when they're out hunting because if they're killing, they're helping the Operator in some way.
But make no mistake; The Glamour is not a pleasant experience. You got to understand these killers are not to be admired; They are mentally, emotionally, and maybe even physically stuck in the worst moments of their lives. Life goes on, but they are stunted and never allowed to grow, and the Glamour feels unpleasant. It's like feeling the physical sensations of their Glamoured form in real time and struggling with their skin feeling as if needles are digging under their nails and eyes. It's not pleasant, but that's actually the point. It's supposed to urge them to kill faster or more violently.
Now as for the other two abilities, well they're a given however there is a drawback: Human Killers ARE mortal. Make no mistake, while the Operator offers this to them, it doesn't actually care about them and while they can withstand a bit more than an average human, if they get killed, they're dead. The Operator only prioritizes its Proxies. Everyone else is inconsequential. Remember Human Killers handle the dirty work they get to kill and live free, but it's not a promised life of hedonism forever. If someone tries to kill them, they can die, and their time is limited depending on how bored the Operator gets with them; It's a bum deal.
Humans who mutilated themselves or got mutilated are more often than not, the Operator's pick.
What the Human Killer offers the Operator is a secret to the grave; It can range from their soul to something minor like their favorite toy as a kid- Whatever they offer, though, has to have merit to them
Human Killers are more prone to walk in their "Glamour" than their real selves. It's ultimately a cultural thing within the forest that Human Killers wear the glamour to differentiate them or put the difference between Proxies and them. Glamour being lowered is a HUGE risk and rare as it means the Human Killer is offering themselves at their most vulnerable. Glamour is a shield.
The more a Human Killer kills, the less the Glamour hurts. It still hurts like a bitch but the more lives offered to the Operator the less unpleasant wearing the glamor is.
Killing IS addictive. Because the Operator can't control Human Killers like it does Proxies, killing is 1000x more addicting to human killers than proxies and supernatural killers. Some killers are like junkies from it its like a drug slowly driving them crazy.
Anyways, if you want me to add more, let me know. This was fun.
