A Misguided Year.

I have been avoiding updating… I will just try to make this as painless as possible; she was not interested in me at all. In fact, she said she did not consider me in anyway what she would enjoy as a boyfriend. Apparently the chauvinistic, cocky, irresponsible man is more her type.

I mean, she told me she had thought I was gay, and the ‘date’ was for coffee or something to talk. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay… it is just this is not the first time a woman I have been interested has assumed that.  So for all of you patient people, no; I suppose I was not quite as perfect for her as she deserves. To make matters worse, she is now seeing someone I know (which is how I can determine her lack of taste). I would rather not continue this post. Let me say however, that this person has informed me they have no interest in her beyond her looks and their… involvements. The van is in the shop, I’m out of bread (and money) and I somehow lost a bet with Arthur and now I owe him £50. The worst thing about that is that it was due to a trivia question I miss-answered concerning airline safety! I knew it… I am not having a good year so far. So happy whatever holiday I have missed, and I hope it was great for all of you.

Quick Update.

I'm terribly sorry that I have not been able to keep up posting as much as I would like; for a while my computer was broken. It took me ages to find the funds to get it working again, and now I owe Douglas quite a bit of money. Owing Douglas is the most dreadful thing about the whole fiasco; he is constantly reminding me, and is making me get him things on flights saying he'll 'take it from my tab'.  In any case, Happy late Christmas/New Years! Where did you all spend your day? I spent the day (which I got off this year from Carolyn) working with my van. Not very pleasant, but oh well; I still was able to wear a sweater (below- the sweater).

-). Something new has happened; I have a girlfriend! Well, not officially... I mean she said she WOULD go out on a date with me. We've yet to book a solid date. I've noticed she has not been around work lately... I hope she isn't sick. The woman I'm referring to is that angel Amy. My ginger princess advised me that she would check her schedule to see when she is available. God am I lucky! Other than having an apparently full schedule, she is perfect.

Arthur was happy for me upon hearing the news, however Douglas has been asking me whether or not I've actually had a date with her. He keeps saying "She doesn't sound that interested." Of course she's interested! She's just... rather busy. Besides, what would he know about women? He's yet to see a successful relationship... Carolyn changes the subject when I bring Amy up.  For a group of people whom I spend nearly all my time with, they don't seem all that happy for me. So yes, I have a woman in my life now... mostly.  Not much else has changed... I've been keeping well (other than the whole money thing) and plan on updating quite a bit more frequently.  I need to get going though... just know that I'm still alive and well! Crisis?

Hi, I'm Mandolin. I went to Sac Anime this last weekend. On saturday, I cosplayed Captain Martin Creiff from Cabin Pressure. If anyone got a photo, or know anyone who did, please let me know, because I worked hard on that cosplay and totally forgot to take a picture. If you're not sure who I was cosplaying, I had orange hair and pilot's jacket and 'captain' written on my forehead. Thanks! If you saw me, (I was Watson on Friday and Sunday) say hi!

As you clever people have decidedly figured out, I am not the 'Captain'; this is (shockingly enough) the first mate. I am the marvelous Douglas Richardson. I really am not one to talk for extended amounts of time (as I have better things to do), yet since I can clearly see you were all blatantly lied to, I'm willing to answer quite a few questions.

Ask me and I shall provide.
