Izzy lived and sailed off with the crew. Ed and Stede come back to the revenge after a little while.
Not being the captains and having to do crew work takes some getting used to, watching Izzy get bent over any available surface whenever the mood strikes a crew member even more.

currently (always) obsessed with the dynamic between izzy and the kraken crew. like in regards to how he has been genuinely so thirsty for power, like actually for real desperate for power, for presumably the majority of if not all his life. and he never fucking once had any, or at least the power he did have went beyond his notice or was otherwise undermined by the power he didn't have. he was poor and he wanted money so he stole it, but (just like ed) part of the cost of staying rich meant not actually reaping any of the benefits of wealth. he was small and hurt and wanted to be tough and untouchable so he built the second most fearsome reputation around, but could only maintain it (he thought) by staying subservient to and overshadowed by the first. no matter how strong, how skilled, how infamous, how materially stable, how decorated, no matter any of it he still is not respected or at least not treated with respect whether by those closest to him or those furthest away or anyone in between. forever.
until. and even if you don't add in any fun extras, like just going by canon (up until the sudden tonal shift back to the start in the funeral scene for some fucking reason), this is still the case. he finally does have real genuine power over the kraken crew and is starting to have some over the rest of the crew and even stede. they truly respect his both his skills and his autonomy, they trust his judgement and his intentions, they take his orders and listen to his wisdom, they follow his lead without question (except when he's relaying someone else's commands), they make space for him anywhere he wants to go. he's free to be as unpleasant or as sweet as he wants at his own whim, with no lasting damage to his standing. and why? only because he first had none of it. not even the false or incomplete powers of before. they saw him at his weakest - physically, mentally, emotionally, hierarchically. and... put him in charge of them for it.
especially when you compare directly to ed, how izzy clearly let him have that same power, even if again we say only in the non sexual and/or metaphorically sexual sense of being allowed to do anything with/to izzy up to and including cut him up and feed him to himself, but it was never quite the same and only ever made things worse, made izzy even lesser to him.
and then say you do add in some fun stuff. make the erotic aspects fully textual. say you could even decide oh, the kraken crew have a free use thing with him. for example.
so here he is, more powerful than he has ever been. 4+ very formidable people who answer to him and would do anything for him, without question and only mild complaining. and it's not in spite of but (in large part) because he lets them have an even more absolute power over his body for "no" benefit to himself, and likes it.
must make his head spin.
Holistic Hedonism: Izzy/Everyone + Body Worship
After a close call on a raid - and after Izzy tried to hide his gunshot back when they battled their way off the beach of Nassau - Captain Frenchie and the crew of the Revenge don't trust Izzy's word that he isn't injured. They start stripping him down and feeling for wounds to reassure themselves of his safety. Chronically touch-starved, Izzy is overwhelmed with the pleasure of their care.

kraken era fic where ed doesn't understand izzy, won't believe what's right in front of him- well, that part's canon lol. anyway so he decides he has to make izzy beg - for something he really wants, he warns izzy after putting him on his knees, since they both know what a terrible fucking liar he is.
and of course izzy can't know what ed's really asking (why are you still here?) and he certainly can't ask for what he really wants (ed to love him back), so he chooses something needed instead.
we'll say it's 50+ raids into the 88 raid record breaker, and izzy begs - really begs, puts his all into it, means it - and what he begs for is shore leave for the crew.
(of course he doesn't get it, and ed punishes him for trying, but they all heard how genuinely he tried to get it for them, how he insisted it was what he wanted and refused to change his tune when ed called him out and gave him one more chance. just add it to the list if things they know about izzy now that they won't ever be able to forget.)
