I know the fandom loves and praises the hell out of Lucy and Renee. They follow their work and what they do outside of Xena. And that's great. Because they most definetly are the face of the show. They are our beloved Xena and Gabrielle.
However, the true backbone of the show for me has always been the writers and producers. And really everyone in the background of the show. From the lightning crewmen to the musical composer, to the writing showroom where they all came up with ideas together and how to go about telling an arc story or deepening character main and subplots, and to the extras they they had on location and brought in for only one day's pay.
'Xena: Warrior Princess' is very much a UNIT show. It promotes unity in any and all ways it can. Not just through the story of the show itself. But also through everyone who worked on it or was apart of it in some way, shape or form. And I know the Xenites acknowledge this in the cons and retreats. And even involve the cast/crew in what they do, to which much of the cast/crew accept and take part in whenever they can... Which is amazing.
But I do wish this was more talked about on social media. Tumblr in particular. I do wish they were given the respect and credit they deserve online too. It's constantly Lucy and Renee-related anytime the cast/crew is talked about. And I just don't feel that's right. Don't get me wrong - I love them to bits... especially because they'll agree with me on this. But they're not the everything which makes this show so groundbreaking and enjoyable for us to watch time and time again. That being said: Please pay more attention to EVERYONE ELSE other than Lucy and Renee! The writers and producers specifically if you have to pick and choose who to give most of your attention to.

P. S. Don't forget yourselves too. You're as much creators of the Xenaverse as the cast/crew are. And that's what truly sets us apart as a fandom.
