Shit now I have to find a terrible moment… WAIT.

Olive knew John Joseph Jacobs was alive. Well, now she did. For years she thought she had run him over with her horse in that race. Well, she did, but he didn’t die because of it, nor was it her fault. Somehow, despite the other losses she had experienced that day, a part of her conscience was cleared. She never did cut the girth, but just the guilt of keeping the secret and being the first to run over him had been gnawing at her so long, and now suddenly it was finally gone.
