Crimson Stem
ROUND 2 - Match 30 of 250 - Crimson Stem vs. Glass Pane
A log or stem is a naturally occurring block found in trees or huge fungi, primarily used as a building block and to create planks, a versatile crafting ingredient. There are nine types of logs: oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry blossom, and pale oak; and two types of stems: crimson, and warped.
A glass pane is a transparent block that can be used as a more efficient alternative to glass blocks.
Which block is better?
Crimson Stem
Glass Pane
Theeee crimson wood from the nether! (I can't remember the name right now ABSMSBSMSB
oooh! Crimson Stems are fun :D
I'm not too fond of the base game crimson wood because it's. Well the planks and the stripped logs aren't exactly crimson you know?
But it's still fun though because on the regular stems they've got a little bit of an animation!
Anyways, as for what I like to pick from/what makes some sense, I've avoided a lot of the nether blocks that look decent to go for some of the more interesting ones :D
For planks I actually laid out all the different types of planks this time
They all have their pluses but my favorites were Mangrove and Birch, (Crimson planks look nice as well but they're from the same block so I excluded them)
As for everything else, I love gold next to nether blocks, and the various forms of ore(Aside from deepslate ore) look very nice! I also like the red mushroom bits and the mushroom stem as well as black terracotta and fire coral
I think bricks look decent but they'd probably look better in conjunction with other blocks.
Once again the ochre and pearlescent frog lights are some of my favorite choices as well as shroomlights.
On the stone-y end there's deepslate and blackstone that both look rather nice. I much prefer the blackstone but considering it was added in the nether update alongside crimson stems it makes sense!
There's also the nether bricks and red netherbricks, I prefer the red ones!
Lastly there's the stripped crimson wood and purple terracotta :D edit: I forgot sandstone but sandstone is also one of my favorite blocks with crimson stem skjld;f
Thank you for the ask!!
Crimson Stem/Non-Wood Varied Blocks
Hi, in this post I am going to be grouping the new Crimson Wood from the 1.16 Snapshot with all the non-wood blocks with variants I could think of at the time of making this. I’m sorry if something like this has been done before.
I’m also doing a Warped Stem version of this, which you can find here.
Nether Brick
Nice complimentary between colours, however it isn’t too.. expressive?
7/10
Red Nether Brick
Villian vibes. Very sexy.
8/10
Purpur Brick
Amazing vibes, pleasant appearance, very pastel-y.
9/10
End Brick
Feat a friendly slime. Unexpectedly nice.
10/10
Regular Brick
Kinda uinteresting. Probably my least favourite out of all of them.
3/10
Stone Brick
Again, a bit uninteresting, but pleasant.
6.5/10
Dark Prismarine
Gorgeous vibes, Aquatic feel.
11/10
And that’s all for this post! Feel free to comment or reblog with your own opinions and if you’d like me to put more materials to the test, let me know, I’d be happy to oblige. Have a great day!

ROUND 1 - Match 58 of 500 - Birch Fence vs. Crimson Stem
A fence is a barrier block that cannot normally be jumped over, similar to a wall. Unlike a wall, a player (but not mobs) can see through the openings in a fence block.

There are nine types of logs: oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry blossom, and pale oak; and two types of stems: crimson, and warped.
