Critical Robin Master List
A collection of the collaborative works created during the Critical Role Round Robin Fic Challenge that ran from July 8th to August 18th 2018. Each of these works was started by one writer, then passed around to the rest of the group, each adding their own contribution, until it came full circle to the first writer. Then they revised and edited the fic into readable shape!
IMPORTANT: Please read the tags at the links for any squicks or tw!
This list will be updated as additional fics are posted.
Team Beau: @criticaldemiplane, @fuzzy-face, @mamzellecombeferre, @osroshallward
Storm Shelter: Yasha is singing. No, she is talking, chanting whatever she was trying to say up to the thunderstorm that called her. From all the late-night watches where Beau couldn’t sleep she remembers having heard the strange music, the language that Yasha and Caleb knew. It makes sense, in a way, even listening to it without much background intensity Beau can feel the shivers down her back. It is otherworldly. It is divine. And so is Yasha. (Beau/Yasha)
This Town is a Song About You: Jester and Fjord go on a spontaneous road trip to the coast, and along the way figure out that complicated feelings might be simpler then they imagined. (Jester/Fjord)
Whisper Down the Nein: An easy mission leaves the Mighty Nein with far too much time on their hands to think about their feelings for each other. Everyone tries to be a good friend and wingman. Along the way, a few details get mixed up. (Beau/Yasha, Fjord/Jester, Jester/Yasha)
the mariner’s call: Jester lives with her mother by the sea, in the grand manor of the Oyster and Pearl. Around her revolves a busy life of courtesans, sailors, merchants, and the colorful cast of her friends. One night she’s accidentally thrown into the world of Fjord: a mer-kraken, wondering of his place in the world. In any case, the Traveler takes an interest in his favorite cleric getting involved. (Jester/Fjord)
Team Caleb: @momlymauk, @moonweave, @queensreaper, @vanishedschism (with some fill ins by @bboiseux)
the way destiny lies: Having studied the beacon well enough to know how to take advantage of the immense power it held, Caleb Widogast used it to open a portal into his own past; there, he planned to fix his own mistakes, prevent the worst from ever happening, and change reality for the better.Naturally, it wasn’t actually going to be that easy. (Caleb/Astrid/Eodwulf)
Failed Rituals: That’s all it was- a way to escape. The ritual had failed, the man had died, and Caleb Widogast was supposed to get off freely with his new bounty. He could escape Trent Ikithon and what he had done. But nothing could be that simple. (Caleb & Mollymauk)
Empty Ribs: When a young drow attacks the Mighty Nein, Caleb is not the only one left to wonder, what do you owe a world that never gave you anything? And what’s the difference between a person and a corpse? (The Mighty Nein)
Team Fjord: @bboiseux, @bisexualpiratequeen, @ginnyvos, @the-last-noel06
We Are the Shadows in the Mirror: The fight against Trent was going well. And then it wasn’t. And then it hadn’t happened at all. When Beau finds herself back home about to marry Caleb, she knows something has gone wrong. Very wrong. She is trapped in the body of a dutiful daughter, one that has never known a day of combat, and her friends are trapped in their own nightmare versions of their lives. Traveling across the Dwendalian Empire, Beau must face down a Caleb still loyal to Trent, a Fjord who became a ruthless bandit, and a Jester who was found by something much more sinister than the Traveler. Can she free them in time to save the life of one of their own and escape this world? Or are they doomed to die as shadows in the mirror? A story of battles, self-doubt, and the strength of friendship. (Beau & The Mighty Nein)
Team Jester: @corvus-christi, @fjordlock, @redteamshark, @twinvax
Legal Bindings: In the Dwendalian Empire, there’s a rise in murders, disappearances, and strange events. And in the city of Zadash, there’s two detectives working to put the pieces together. But when every answer seems to lead to three new questions, can they really find a rhyme or reason to the world around them? (Caleb & Nott)
Regression: When a spell takes Nott’s mind, the Mighty Nein struggle to find a way to get her back before they lose her–and possibly each other–forever. (Caleb & Nott)
Anchors and Other Weights: Beau meets a scary-hot lady at a party. Caleb studiously avoids a couple panic attacks. Together, Caleb and Beau tie up some loose ends, probably. (Beau & Caleb)
Authors: If you would like something changed, let me know!
