The Wizards had settled onto earth bread after its developments.
I don't think it was ever necessarily implied that the wizards had any part in earthbread's actual creation, just that they came because of their interest in cookies, and that they rivaled the current witches we know about because of their apposing ideals.
I question it because I was thinking about the virtues and when they were made, but they were (likely) made shortly after earth bread came into existence because of the fact cookie society was less developed and needed guides to aid them in their development.
During the time fount of knowledge was made, cookies had barely even thought for themselves. And according to the fact that he was the one that taught cookies magic, this was before magic was integrated into earth bread as a intellectual and established skill as well.
And the virtues were already canonically established to be eons(billions of years) old. So we already know that millennial tree, sugar swan, and Wind archer know about them because they're as old as earth bread itself, but the other elementals don't seem to know anything about them because all of them likely came after.
This also means that Fount of Knowledge is older than Moonlight and stardust.
