In the reality of which you speak, the “War Titan” specialization was bestowed upon on not only the largest and most powerful Titans to be forged, but also those with the mental and physical fortitude to spearhead missions of conquest against those races who came into conflict with the Cybertronian empire—famous and infamous War Titans of the Age of Expansion include Iaconus, Vigilem, Waypoint, Nemesis, and Fortress Maximus, who burned planets and toppled empires in the name of Cybertronian supremacy.

Although War Titans were powerful fighters and almost unmatched on the battlefield, their status as “capital ships” meant that they operated alongside other Titan varieties. Versatile Guardian Titans—a smaller class of Titan that included Omega Supreme, Steelhaven, Xantium, and Axalon—filled a niche analogous to frigates as they escorted War Titans on long-range deployments to distant star systems. Nimble Patrol Titans like Chela and Lodestar rarely left planetary orbit, as their speed and maneuverability allowed them to intercept incoming threats like light warships or spaceborne debris.

Still other Titans operated in purely supportive roles—even the mightiest of War Titans depended upon ‘bots like Cargohold, Doradus, and the vast amounts of Energon in their city-sized tanks, for refuelling on long-distance operations. And, of course, Colony Titans like Croaton, Navitas and Caminus left Cybertron with the intent of spreading Cybertronian civilization to new worlds.

There's something SO sweet sbout how gentle Croaton really is. He's just got freed from oppression, but he doesn't wanna fight, doesn't even wanna kick Starscream's ass. Just??? Wants his friend to recover???

S2EP16 Titan speaking sequence

Reizigers van de allspark. ik heb millennia lang op deze planet zelf gehouden. Mijn spark has bijna gedood. Ik ben hier geland om de planeet bewoonbaar te maken samen met mijn al burgers. Maar we werden aangevallen door een enorm grote kracht.(受動態進行中過去形の文 dynamical passive voice past tense) Mijn burgers werden afgenomen. Ik werd zwaar beschadigd achtergelaten, ik konden niet meer bewegen. Ik voelde dat de allspark voorbij deze planeet van en toen besloot ik droeg(??). Ik vroeg cityspeaker om help. Dankzij haar heeft de allspark me weer hersteld. En nu ik moet gaan om mijn burgers te vinden. / Vrees niet nieuwe vrinden.

*****english Travellers of the allspark. I have laid on this planet for millennia. My spark almost extinguished. I landed here to colonise this planet along with my citizens. But we were attacked by immensely powerful force. My citizens were taken from me. I was led gravely damaged and immobilised. I sensed the allspark passing near, and called out, asking citispeaker for help. Thanks to her the allspark has restored me. And now I must go and find my citizens. Fear not my new friends.

*****note Accidentally I have just read a Titan episode on idw comics(metroplex), too. I find the titan awakening sceneries are so so beautiful on both the cartoon and the comics. Also those remind me 70s art like Moebius. I just imagine how artists excited to make those scenes. The picture qualities are high now, but now we often watch with small screens like smartphone. That might make the latest cartoon simpler plainer expression effective like this. I almost quit watching this show because of the lack of Shockwave’s screen time. But I’m glad to find this scenery.

ちょうどコミックスもTitan(Metroplex)エピソードを読んだところだったので何だかタイムリー。コミックスもアニメもTitanが起きるシーン本当に綺麗だよねえ。ちょっとMoebiusみたいな70年代のSFぽい。映像の解像度は上がっているけど、スマホなんかの小さい画面で見ることも考慮するとこんなストレートでプレーンな表現が効果的なのかも。もうショックウェーブの出番ないみたいだから見るのやめようかと思ってたけどこのシーンが見れてよかった。
