Tumblr i am begging on my knees

First crochet project, i thought everything was alright, but then i did half of the second row and had to undo it because something was wrong with my yellow chains:

Is it fixable ? Or do i have to scrap it? Did i fuck it up with my striked through T's (i am not checking out the english name) or was i cooked from the start? Please help 😭

for reference, i am about 5'2, the scarf is roughly 3ft long already, i have roughly half(?) a skein left

Your first attempt at crochet looks great! Your single crochet looks better then when I first started. Some nice straight edges there! If I haven't crocheted in a while, my edges can still get a bit wonky. You can hide a lot with a nice border though. (Try chaining two and doing a single crochet in your next stitch. makes a neat ruffley border.) One way you can try to fix a skipped stitch is adding two of the same crochet into one stitch; it's also called an increase. Doesn't always work though.

I figured out what I was doing wrong with the half double stitch. I got the instructions confused when starting a new row. But I figured it out!

The ruffle edge sounds fun though. Imma try that!

Is nine and a half feet (9' 6", or 115 inches) a normal length for a scarf? The person it is for is roughly five foot five (5'5" or 65 inches)
