Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings is a comforting and delicious meal that's easy to prepare. The slow cooker does all the work for you, and the result is a hearty dish that's perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces. 2 cans 10.5 oz each cream of chicken soup. 1 onion, chopped. 3 carrots, sliced. 3 celery stalks, sliced. 2 cups chicken broth. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1 tsp dried parsley. 1 cup frozen peas. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk.
Instructions: In a crockpot, mix together the chicken, cream of chicken soup, onion, carrots, celery, garlic powder, dried thyme, and dried parsley. Mix everything together by stirring. Put the lid on top and set the heat to low. Cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until the vegetables are soft and the chicken is crispy. Add the frozen peas about 30 minutes before you serve. Put the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a different bowl and mix them together. Add the milk and mix it in to make a dough. Spoonfuls of the dumpling dough should be dropped on top of the hot chicken and vegetables in the crockpot. Cover and cook on high for another 30 to 40 minutes, or until the dumplings are done all the way through and the middle is no longer doughy. Enjoy while hot!
