In Sickness & In Health
Stemming from the humble beginnings of a perfectly average life, something of this unconventional degree was not what Seiichi would have predicted for his future. Barely out of middle school and here he was, expected to wed a total stranger [not even of his choosing, just to add salt to the wound] and contribute to the restoration of an entire planet.
To say he'd been rendered moderately disgruntled by the whole affair would be putting things lightly, however sulking wasn't going to reap anything productive. For all he knew, his new fiancée was a perfectly upstanding person and imaginably just as iffy concerning the news of their sudden engagement as he was.
As both resided in separate buildings for now, he'd taken it upon himself to initiate the first steps by extending invitation to his betrothed. They'd been thrown in this together whether they liked it or not, so why not make the best of it? He'd toyed with the idea of various potential locations for the occasion, eventually settling with the park. Idealistic in the fact it was remote enough to conduct introductions relatively undisturbed, while still being a public area with easy means of escape should things turn sour.

Now, he waits. The weather was mild enough to still be considered pleasant and he was more than content to occupy the time observing the last resilient blossoms before they wilted into the upcoming autumn months.
