All the gays celebrating pride!!

First of, thank you very much to my friend @gcatinthehouse for being the reason i locked in and did these after i saw their pride drawings 😼🙏 So yay

These are just my headcanons of the Rhmis characters (+ my oc's because i can't help myself) sexualities. They're also what is cutrently the canon in my AU, tho some things might still change...

Either way: still have some extra info on these hc's after the cut

Starting off with the gang!!

Robin is Pansexual and Genderqueer, i also like to see him as Poly but that's mostly because i can't decide what ship i like the most

Little John is gay (tho i was actually debating for a while if he should be gay or bi)

Tuck is AroAce... no comment on that one.. can not immagine him as anything else. He's also on the side of the AroAce Spectrum where he isn't intrested in a romantic relationship at all

Marian is Bi, she just swings both ways

And Scarlett is a Lesbian. I also imagine she would use She/They pronouns in a modern setting, but in the main Story she doesn't 😔

Moving on to my beloved Trio

John is Gay, also have no comment on that- he just... is

Guy is Bi (he also just swings both ways)

And Alys is Aromantic and Omnisexual with a prefrence for more fem people

And last but not least

Richard (who next to John and Tuck was probably the easiest to figure out) is Bi and also Aromantic, which he figured out mid relationship and then just dipped like any emotionaly stable person would do [this totally won't cause issues for everyone in the future don't worry about that...]

"You'll always be your father's son"

Some royal angst for my health.

Backstory lore-drop here:

Henry II was, to put it plainly, a tyrant. Considered a ruthless King by the people who knew him and those who didn't.

He also, by all means, was not a good family man. His marrige was loveless and he never really cared for any of his children, only seeing them as a way to gain power. His "favorite child" therefor was always the one that had the potential to bring in more power for him (more land or more political opportunities, etc.) while the others were at the best neglected at the worst abused.

To go against him, his 2 oldest sons (Henry the Young and Richard) with the help and encouragement of their mother, Queen Eleanor, started a revolt against him in an attempt to dethrone the King.

Both of them left for france shortly after. Eleanor tried to join them but was stoped by Henry II on the way and became his prisoner.

During this time, with his brothers both gone and his mother in captivity, a 6-year-old John was now compleatly left alone with their Father. And Henry II used this chance to effektivly grooming and minipulating his youngest into becoming a smaller version of him as well as making him belive his brothers willingly abandoned him. Shape his last, loyal son into exactly what he wants him to be.

And the tragic part of it: It worked. With his effort Henry II managed to set the foundations for the resentment John would later have for his older brother.

While Richard, once back in England and eventually the King himself, has to witness his little brother (who he once was so close with) withdraw from him more and more, helplessly watching as John slowly turns into the man that destroyed their family.
