Cells At Work!(hataraku saibou!)
An anime about you!(a human!)
Cells at work an anime about the human body and the components that make it up! It mainly follows the daily routine of two anthropomorphic cells, one red blood cell and one white blood cell. Each episode shows them doing their jobs, which for red blood cell is providing oxygen for cells and for white blood cell is to destroy germs and diseases that appear in the body.
The show does a very good job explaining the very specific jobs of each character/cell type. It also explains how diseases can appear, as well as what they can do to the body.
There are a couple episodes that are not about actual diseases, but conditions such as dehydration and concussion. They show what happens in the body and the internal symptoms that you don’t see.
Its a comedy that teaches the basics of the body, in a way that even people like me(who never bothered to care) can learn!
The characters are funny and cute, and its fun to watch!
The show can be found on both netflix and crunchyroll. I personally recommend watching on crunchyroll if you can. The reason I say this is because on Netflix there are the occasional boxes that appear that are supposed to be explaning something, but are japanese and do not translate. On Crunchyroll they can be translated, as well as some signs that are sometimes in the sceneary that are in Japanese.
It is only 14 episodes long at the moment, but I do believe there is a second season coming hopefully soon.
EDIT: you can also find this on Funimation now app.
