I think he likes skulking around on his own, taking in stuff like visual art and movies and live music, and doing kinda thrill-seeking fun stuff. Probably eating a lot of sugary food as well

B probably loves to read, and to work on his creepy little experiments that were part of his preparations for the LABB case. I bet he practices acting out characters alone in his home and makes weird faces in the mirror and writes a lot of self-indulgent flowery emo stuff in his diary. Maybe goes around shoplifting from stores or breaking and entering into private properties, too. I picture him having all sorts of avenues for getting information about L as well, like he obsessively checks the news several times a day using the computer, TV, newpapers, magazines and radio just to see if he’s doing anything important and where in the world L’s cases are taking him now. I very much doubt he had any friends or a real job or anything like that, and he was likely constantly getting up to some extremely shady stuff behind the scenes of what we saw him doing in the book.

Basically the entire bridge of “Daylight” by Taylor Swift (probably fair to say the entire song), but the line that almost always makes me tear up whenever I listen is:

“I once believed love would be burning red, but it’s golden like daylight”

Something in me just goes buck wild whenever I even think about it.

Vampire- Are you currently reading any books? If so, what book(s)?

Well, for my English class, I’m reading Puerto Rico Strong, which is a comics anthology that delves into Puerto Rican experiences as told by various Puerto Ricans. The last book I read for fun was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

L sounds like an ASMR YouTuber in almost every dub I’ve listened to. In the English version he sounds like he’s trying to seduce Light someone, while in the Japanese version he sounds like he tries to cure your headaches with facts so cold you get brain freeze. I appreciate that they always try to make him sound soft, but I think only the Japanese dub accurately portrays his emotional detachment. Softness plus warmth/charm is just too much. L is an asshole and he’s not trying to hide it.

hmmm, good question! thank you for the ask! (and for asking for dazaku like I asked yalls to all those years ago)

I’d say.....one of my favorite headcanon is that Akutagawa doesn’t realize he’s actually super into small physical affections until he’s in any relationship, but especially with Dazai. What started with headpats meant to comfort Akutagawa gentle turned into gentle touches, hand holding, Dazai playing with his fingers, etc. Dazai sits with an arm around Akutagawa when the two of them have free time. Akutagawa likes being held, though he doesn’t admit it.

Grelle:

1. I like Grelle as a character, in general, but the comic relief antics can be seriously over-the-top. Also, it’s hard to pin down Grelle’s honest feelings about some things (like wishing to bear children) because Yana-san seems to have changed the character a bit since the Jack the Ripper arc without explanation. This might be resolved later, and it could have something to do with the “suspension” after being apprehended by William....

2. It’s enjoyable for me to see how Sebastian gets weirded out by Grelle’s advances; Grelle is clearly the only one on that ship. It would be interesting if William ever warmed up to Grelle, but I doubt it will ever happen. Therefore, I don’t have any serious romantic ships for Grelle.

3. I think there’s a canon non-romantic ship with Othello, even though they bicker with and even ignore each other quite often.

4. An unpopular opinion? I’m not sure about this, but I sometimes think the claim Grelle wishes to bear children is merely a lie to get Madam Red to allow Grelle to join the killing spree. True, Grelle says something later to Sebastian about possibly being able to bear the demon’s children, but that’s all there has been on the subject in the manga itself. The “interview” in the old Character Guide also touches on the subject. However, like I said above, Yana-san seems to have changed the character since that arc. Either that, or Grelle has actually changed focus; again, this might have something to do with the punishment handed down by the superiors....

5. I’d like for someone to respond positively to Grelle’s sexual/romantic advances. Or for someone to turn it around on Grelle and be the one to initiate it. Not so much for hopes that a relationship would start but more to see Grelle’s reaction to it. In particular, I’d like to see the reaction if William reciprocated. I’d also like to find out what really happened when Grelle had to go on “suspension” after being apprehended and taken to the superiors for punishment. (Does someone mess around with the disobedient reaper’s cinematic records in order to make them follow the rules better?)

Dear Sebastian, since demons don't need to sleep, what do you do at night when your Master is asleep and has given no orders to you?

My master sometimes does give me orders to carry out during the night. When he does not there is still work for me to do. An estate such as the one my master keeps generally cannot be run with a staff of five, so there is often quite a lot of work to be done during the night simply to keep up. Also, I will say this again for your benefit, but demons who need sleep do exist. Please do not generalise all of my kind because of what you presume to know about one of us.
