Monika wants only the best for the people around her and is a high key mom friend. she’s got a sort of prep personality with a mild goth/punk aesthetic.
facts about the butterfly people of Joplin: stories of the butterfly people of Joplin spread the first few days after the Joplin tornado in 2011. people who claimed to have seen them call them guardian angels and the like, as all that spotted them thankfully survived the disaster. many of which came out unharmed. it is thought the butterfly people are omens of safety and good luck.
my personal thoughts on butterfly people of Joplin: i have said this once and i will say it again, the butterfly people are the only cool cryptid MO has. so they have a special place in my heart. design wise for Monika i was inspired by Star vs the Forces of Evil’s ‘mewberty’ forms in many ways.

A Cryptid Dating Sim Update!
In the character poll we have created, which is still open, Mothman has surpassed over 100 votes! Our lovely artist ( @howlyhowl ) drew this great piece of congratulatory art. If any other cryptids reach over 100, we will be sure to give them the same treatment.
We are hard at work making this game. We are revamping the old sprites and working on some of the background music. We would like to revamp our backgrounds, but we may need some help. If you’d like to volunteer and help us out, then please contact myself ( @geekotakuzion ), my coding friend ( @interstellarroadkill ), or our wonderful resident artist ( @howlyhowl ).

Ava is a simple woman with simple needs. fine wine, fine meat (or just jerky and meat sticks from the local 7/11), terrorizing the locals and of course. crime.
facts about the Owlman: first spotted on April 17, 1976 Mawnan, Cornwall, UK by Tony "Doc" Shiels. Owlman is often compared to West Virginia’s Mothman, as both are ominous beings associated with death and doom. likely the source of the Owlman legend is the Eurasian eagle-owl.
my personal thoughts on the Owlman: i used to watch Lost Tapes as a kid so that’s what mostly influenced my version of the Owlman. my version being a shapeshifting horrorterror with the power to know who you are, where you’ll be and what you’ll do and why. truly creepy stuff.
