Hot take but I don’t think Crystal Skull would’ve been as hated if they used more physical sets or shot on some location.

Like don’t get me wrong, I still heavily dislike the alien direction but there is a lot of good in the movie. Like the return of Marion and I do like Mutt/ think he has potential. I genuinely think if they used less CGI and stuck to practical effects and sets everyone would be slightly more open to it… but it was the early 2000s they’d kill you if you didn’t use digital
