Born deep in the earth, their rock-like body, compressed to be hard as steel, encompasses the energy core at their center. As Roggenrola age, the energy stored in their core grows too great to be contained, and leaks out, forming orange crystals. In an effort to better accommodate their increase in mass, they begin to develop a third leg, improving their speed and mobility. They observe the world through their hexagonal cavity, which functions as an ear and divides with age.
#525.5 - Boldore require an outside source of energy to enable them to evolve, often coming from a combination of solar and geothermal energy, though trainers can stimulate this process through trade. Maturing Boldore continue to produce excess energy, generating more and more crystals as a result, and shedding smaller, older crystals as their energy is depleted. Continue to grow in bulk, Maturing Boldore rotate their legs to better support their weight. The excess energy they absorb and produce has allowed them to develop new, eye-like organs inside each ear.
