Pixel art for today based on the Super Nintendo video game Aretha 2. Another golden cartridge from the golden age of 16-bit role-playing games. Back when video games came on cartridges. And adventures were 16-bit. The second part of the role-playing game.
And this is my drawing based on Aretha 2 (SNES). You made your way into the dungeon to retrieve the crystal ball. The wizard's ball. It was your long-held dream of becoming a wizard. But you didn't know how. Then you heard a story from an adventurer about a crystal ball in the dungeon. It glows and smokes. It's magical and magical. It will help you become a wizard.
And so you ran there as fast as you could. But you didn't realize that the stone doors closed as soon as you stepped onto the stone floor. And the light stopped penetrating inside. It was always open here. But no one ever went in there. And you, too.
And now you're already on the second floor, by the way. So far, luck is smiling on you. But the magic ball is still out of sight. And there are zombies here. They're wandering around. And there are a lot of them. You need to tiptoe. Carefully pass by. You only have a wooden wand in your hand. And it's not even a magic one. If only I could recharge it somewhere around here and make it magical. That would be better. And find a lamp. It's really dark in here.
There's a green carpet on the floor. And there's a lot of it. It stretches like lines across the entire hall. The hall is very large. Well, maybe over there. At the end of this long hall is that magic ball. And I also need to find a wizard's hat here. And a cloak. But the main thing is to carefully navigate between the zombies. So far, that's working! That's good!
By the way, this scene is a bit reminiscent of the beginning of Lunar: The Silver Star. Where a young hero runs from a dragon in a dungeon because he can't handle it. And there's also a bit of an adventure, like in Zelda. And the rooms and the labyrinth are like a roguelike. Like YS.
